i juz found out my AD date on Thur, 31/5/07 is Vesak Day, a public holiday...but have booked the hotel based on weekday rate leh...will they follow the contract or till the actual day den confirm price of a table? brides of 31 may 07, need ur feedback!

ringadingling, u oredi signed up with Furama rite? during tat time of signing, they oredi confirmed that they will be offering u at a wkday rate though yrs is a public holiday rite? if tat being so... shouldnt be of any issue.

for me, Marriott is offering me a wkday package although it falls on a public holiday and all these are stated in the contract clearly before we sign

So must compare your quotes carefully. BTW, who says fengshui is old-fashioned? In fact it is the "in" thing among young couples. Hi Ladies,

Greetings from BKK. Seems like i miss out a fair bit. A hectic start for me this week at work. Been staying late in the office.. Feel so scared when i took the cab back to hotel. Managed to squeeze some time to surf the forum.

Went to Chakuchat over the weekend to check out wedding favors. They have plenty of salt and pepper container in various designs. (think it's the trend now) I was thinking of getting key chains. The common one i seen in Singapore is the couple embracing each other. And I bought a few in doggy designs, it's bout 4 for 100 Bht, which is $1 each. I will scan a picture of it when i am back.

It's better to plan early, time will pass very fast after january and before we realised it will be our AD. My guest list is another big headache. Not sure who to include or exclude in our dept. Since i was transfer from another dept, i am closer with my old dept coll than my current. But seems weird not to invite them cuz i see them everyday.

hi sailormoon...well, when i signed tat time is based on a weekday rate on 18/05/07 initially, but after which i have to change to another date 31/05/07 oso a weekday. so my co-ord says no prob...and no need to chge the contract again as she had already update in their record book. All this happens when the 2007 calendar was not out yet lo..so was thinking whether i can actually negotiate with them to give me a weekday rate based on the contract stated...or do they have the right to demand from us to pay Weekend/Ph rate instead?

oh~~ i get the whole pic ........ mm, in tis case, i tink its better to check with the co-ord cos if anyting happens and u would often refer back to the contract to argue on yr rights .... so i dun advise tat she says she change in her record book or someting .. wat if (lets say wat if lah) she resign and there's no record of the date changed in the record book, then how? alwys safer to state everything black & white in the contract.

Hi catherine..

personally, i feel u shld choose the period when u are free.. if u schedule is such tat u are free end of the year but more busy when the new yr starts, den u shld insist on ur way... bt if both periods make no diff, den no harm accomodating them...

some ppl prefer to be ahead of schedule, u still have ample time in case of accidents, etc... like me, though mine is in dec, i'll be choosing gowns this dec, photo-taking in june07... kinda kiasu.. but tats my off-peak periods...
