Talking abt BS...yesterday ST reported tt many couples are now going to malaysia to sign up wed packages...they were doing a comparision btw Sing n malaysia wed pkg...though I agree that Malaysia BS pkgs are more attractive, but I do feel that its what u really a different tgt customers...brides muz know what they want for the gowns..etc

Hi all,

I went to DiGio. Wanting to cut cost, cos really very very tight budget. The previous package was $3388, normal offers they would give. When i went on Sat, i requested for roadshow price cos i know those prices were lesser, they offered me $2888. $500 cheaper and every details remain the same plus i bargain for 3 more bridesmaid's gown for dinner.

Didn't want my sisters and cousin to buy something nice but wear only once so i requested from them to provide me the night gown for them.

Yes I agree with Stacy. Looking at my cousin's package, I know that what they offer is not what I want, especially when it comes to the album. Personally, I do not like any digital deco in my photos, i.e. additonal bubbles, rainbows, maple leaves added in the background. Some pages had English poems and captions that need much grammatical brushing up printed across.

I advise BTBs considering Msia wedding packages to communicate very clearly what they like or do not like so that things can go on smoothly

Hi Snowie, we juz state the no. of tables we can afford and keep emphasising on how much we'r prepared to lost.

actually I dun've much problems with my parents as they'r quite thrifty and they understand the concept that the more we invite the more we'll lost, they were even telling me that they will return me all the ang baos. As for my PIL, they decrease the no. of tables they'r planning to invite when we told them how much we've planned to lost

momo : My colleague lost so much in Sheraton cos her PIL also very "ai mian zi" and they anyhow invite ppl and didnt bother to check if they are coming anot.. Just kept telling my colleague that they are coming.. End up they didnt turn up.. If not, the whole family will turn up and gave a small angbao that is not even to cover their whole family attendance.. thus causing her to lose so much.. Til now, she is still quite pissed with her FILs.. hehe..

Jonic : Sorry sorry, not trying to scare u lar.. My bestie had her wedding at Sheraton too in Dec 05 and she managed to breakeven.. So i guess its depending on the people u invite.. I feel that friends tend to give more according to market rate.. The ones that always give ridiculous amt usually are from "not-so-close" relatives!!

Firstly i browse thru bridal mags to see which BS gowns and style that i like then i will go to the forums and check on the reviews of these BS i shortlisted thru mags... If the reviews are not v good, i will drop these BS off my list.. After that, u can start visiting the few BS that's left in your list.. and after visiting these BS, u will "agar-agar" know which BS u feel good with and u can finalise your BS liao.. Hope it helps!!

My Sis had signed up with Suntec everbliss last year. I went gown fitting with her and felt that the service wasn't up to standard. She was given a few gowns to try on her own, without anyone assisting her. We still have to look for them for more gowns. I always thought that there should be at least 1 person to be around to give advice. I also feel that their gowns are pretty limited. My sister is like have no choice but to settle on the ones she was given to choose.

End up, she went to another BS to take another package.
