ya, i noe wat u mean. i told hb isit cos she suddenly realises my mum wil be seein bb everyday during my confinemt n she wans tat too! sighz.. this mil issue alwz seems to surface esp after bb arrives..
 
ting - okies.. pass u when we meet up.. =) yupz, there's this thing abt being e fave grandparent? n i guess for male side, it's nei sun so they very possessive.. my cousins ils also like tt..

caitlyn ya i guess different for me cos me no own place yet and also prob cos hb's side small... only left mil so even if she wants to move in with us, i cannot say no. but best is she doesn't lah....
 
daphne - mine is pils + bil move in lor.. but tt's not e worst lah.. it was their childish behavviour during man yue tt made me hopping mad n changing their minds abt taking care of bb after my dad took care for e hardest part, e 1st 2 months!
 
caitlyn, ya. actually it's sun - thurs cos i think hb too used to having my mum or maid helping out while at mil's place, it's always the 2 of us only. mil will help out lah but cos of differences in the way we want to do things so a bit difficult to tell her what we don't like lor...
 
daphne - i noe wat u mean abt used to having ppl to help out.. now hb n i also like tt.. last time dunno how we managed when we stayed alone.. my mil is v good in tt she does all e housework.. so sometimes i also paiseh to complain lor..

i tot she wil be bo chap all the way since news of my preg til nw, she nvr asked hw i am, make tonics for me, etc. nw nearin edd, her funny pattern come out liao! even my hb says if she comes over to help sure got prob, cos she reali one kind one. grrr

daphne- my hb initially wanted me to do confinemt at his grandparents' plc! i was like NO WAY MAN. hahah
 
ting - aiyo.. my pils even when i in confinement, never make tonics all tt for me lor.. only care abt e bb.. even now when i preg, no word mentioned abt tonics k? just keep asking how's e bb.. then if i happen to have any craving, my mil will hurry go n buy/cook coz she says maybe bb wants to eat n cannot dun let e bb eat?! so i v disillusioned with them liao.. their concern is e grandchild not us.. i cannot rememebr how much i buy.. how much is e mkt price? i anything lah.. just dun wanna waste it.. =) can give u also..
 
yeah, my IL here evyerday since baby is here. esp during the week my hubby is on leave.

Finally peace liao, cos hubby returns to work. That day my MIL very scarcastic again, said that ok loh, we come again to see baby, cos anywhere next week you go back to work, we wont be coming already..... i think she is expecting me to say it is ok, they can still come, but i kept mum.

Cos they dont care about me at all throughout whole preg.... now then come and see baby everyday!!!

then open the fridge and criti whatever my mum buys for me. all the ingredients they also have opinion....

Aiya, me so the same as u lah, my ils oso dun care abt me throughout the 10mths.... now they want to see their grandson, me still have to bring back to their hse to let them see...why cant they tell their son to fetch them to SK to see lei........ really funnie meh...

jenn, my maternity leave is 12 weeks, but i am taking 10 weeks only, 2 weeks spread across 6 months....

yah loh, i feel so frustrated with the IL thing earlier that i kept complaining here too... even on the 15th of CNY, Yuan Xiao, they die die wnat my hubby to go back and eat. Fine loh, FIL also says i must go back and eat???!!! How is that possible to be done when I am doing confinement right???? worse still he expect baby to also, say how come cannot go??? Come on, there are 3 dogs there and they shed fur like no body business. and when they do their business in the house, they dont even mop the floor, just clean up with paper...
 
caitlyn- i duno the mkt price but my coli says abt $10+. the BP is sellin at $9+ include shippin charges.

The desitin cream is selling for $9.50 per tube. Me got a fix supplier who stay in Punggol, so i just sms and go to her block to get both desitin cream + 1st tooth toothpaste. kee kee

Yap that is right, so far, only daphne stick to this rule and she really pump every 3 hours.

For me, right from day 1, i only pump 3 times a day (Too lazy, ha ha) with 6 hours interval...but me dun face any problem lor, cos i manage to pump more than my bb's demand...
 
jenn, i see..... i guess i must push myself a bit further....

but i just feel quite weird, if i pump after each latch, then i need a lot of storage space leh heee

then hor, if next feed baby cant get enough... then need to feed EBM...

wah this is really headache...

sorry i kept complaining and complaining.

No me blessed lah, is just that i am lucky to get my CL who gave lots of encouragement when i start pumping... and she even help me to massage with hot towel... the food she cook for me definitely helps to boost up my ss lor.... even i just pump 3 times per day..... cos very tired wan to pump every 3 hours... i rather spend the time watching my VCDs... ha ha ha

wah jenn.... at least your CL gives encouragement. though my CL is pro bf, she even ask me to let baby use nappy instead of diapers when she has to washed more as she says it is better for baby... but she still does not understand why i need to pump after a feed, she thought 4 pumps a day more than sufficient, esp if pump already, baby got nothing to latch on, so she could not really understand this point....

u so good leh, still got time for vcd.... i can hardly catch up with my sleep hehee
 
winnie, the reason for pumping after latch is to stimulate your brains and let them know that you need more milk as pumping resemble sucking motion.... but of cos after latch, the vol is very very little cos your bb would have taken most of them mah.... so pump is just to keep stimulate milk glands to produce more milk lor.... for me, i don't pump after latch. in the 1st month, i purely latch and only pump at night when my baby doesn't latch after 3 hours so that's why i stick to the 3 hr rule. either latch or pump every 3 hours... by 2nd month, sometimes bb will stretch to 4 hrs liao.... so i stick to 3 hr pump and latch at 4th hr and feed ebm lor. this way my breast is really used to the max. also sometimes bb doze off after 5 mins of latching and if i can't get her to wake up in another 5 mins, i will pump liao. this is to let my breast know that i need milk every 3 hrs.
 
winnie, it should be pump after latch. if you latch after pump, it should have at least 1hr lap cos if not, really no milk after pump leh.... so of cos bb will scream lor...
 
jenn, unfortunately for my smh thread, they got organize their own leh and also cos i seldom post there or rather, post once every few weeks so they not that friendly to me now lah.... so no response there....

yupz daphne.. im in my 12wks..

past 5wks has been a torture to me.. hv been throwing up everyday or more like i can count the number of days tat i dun throw..

this morning brush teeth throw up yellow liquid.. taste bitter.. on mon threw up 3x until doc gave me 3days to rest at home.. but will be back in ofc tom lah.. else boss soon to tell me perm stay at home liao haha..

juz went to test for oscar yday.. phew, all went well..

now i know all mamas are v wei-da........

caitlyn - u n me can shake hands liao!! my xingku is no one can ustand, not even my hub! tink only my ma can ustand and in fact i learnt to appreciate her aft i got preg..

tats why i din wana go for the gathering coz really too xingku.. tat sat morning i still threw up b4 going to meet jam at kovan.. i see jam so prettily makeup and i see myself so pale n in my specs, i really feel so pathetic for myself!! boo!

anw, till now i cant see any tummy haha.. coz throw up too much liao.. so my camouflage v good.. until my colls oso duno yet.. and i oways run in time to toilet to puke in ofc..
