Hi gals... so sianzzz... argue with parents over the GDL things... i told my parents best is everything also dun buy juz get the necessary items like the cakes/lamps/oranges/pig trots can... enough liao... the rest can dun buy then dun buy.... dun1 2 waste the $$ cos buy already also wont use...

then my mum said my aunt daughter tat time marry got buy the "tan pui" (the little toilet bowl for kids to pee and pu one).... wow bian... buy for wat... also no use leh... some more cant throw away one leh... keep on telling them dun1 lah... but they said must must...

so gals... hv u all decided on the GDL things already bo... or still too early... wow i really faint when things start to heat up... not long ago was the DFS hard liquor now is this and tat... really dun feel like getting married leh....

I am not doing digital for AD..so i paid $500 for the in-house photographer.

Yeah, have been to quite a few BS and finally narrowed it down to SL and TW. Went to SL on seeing Ning's experience there. Anyway, I am going down to finalise, sign and start talking designs with Heath at SL next week. Need to settle this because will be leaving for a business trip soon.

I haven't settle th GDL but I went to Chinatown to see the stuff to get a quote the other day. I went to this shop called KK Antique, i think and the old man told me that the estimated cost for both families stuff is ard $150. The ah pek say that nowadays, juz get the essentials. Maybe you can bring your parents there and let him convince your parents on the necessity for this. If not, guess it wun hurt too much to juz get a ta pui to please them lor.

My parents aren't particular abt these stuff. In fact, I'm the one checking out what are the stuff needed...haha...n i'm also the one listing the things to ask from the groom...hehe...sometimes, I feel soo bad and greedy when I ask my hubby if it's ok to ask for SDJ....hehe..

Can I have a poll of how many of you who ask for SDJ and you are not a Teochew?

jelly: the kam pui can let your kid use next time, buy those baby type ones...stay cool, parents got all those requests, one way is to let them buy for u those GDL stuff if possible. then they knw wat to buy and how much all those stuff really costs....

Ladies: Bboss close down already...i think for outdoor places, can go cafe cartel, or that stretch near the white building next to PS...there's baker's inn, a jap restaurant, cafe and viet food there...

janice, yr URS shoes are quite similar to my rom shoes. hv u tried to wear them and walk around for a while?? cos i had problem walking on my rom day. the shoes straps keep dropping down. i think it's due to the design. that why, i need to buy another pair for my AD. can u imagine if a bride keep pulling her shoes strap on AD??

jelly, tell yr mum nowaday we don't need "tan pui" alrdy. last times, bride need to buy cos no toilet in their bedroom, only common toilet. so need to buy "tan pui" & basin for washing face & relieve in their bedroom. this is what i told my mum.. hehehe..

Hihi YSL, i have shortlisted Four Seasons, The Regent & Rasa Sentosa.
Went to the wedding show at Rasa some weeks back, & was fasinated by the place..... been there a few times on holiday, but din realise that a wedding by the sea looks so good!

me & fh went for style weddings bash yesterday and saw Raffles Tailor.... their suits very nice... but price not cheap.... the whole set can cost up to about $1200 or about $800 for jacket and trousers... so want to see if anyone has mtm b4 and how's the quality....
actually guys quite ke(3) lian(2) cos most of the wedding preparations seems to be for the bride only and not so much attention on guys hor

sk2 - they quoted me like $1688 for 20 page 12R album.. which to me is like exorbitant.. they'll keep saying tt only when u get a complete package then it will be cheaper.. take either only fotos or only gowns, will be more expensive.. the lao ban niang quite shrewd.. she won't throw in more pages.. at most maybe give u two pages digital or something.. according to my PG, metallic pages actually dun cost much more than normal matt pages..

Delivery: Complimentary to your banquet venue.

We have a formula which has proved to be quite accurate, which is calculated based on 2 bottles on your number of tables.

Consignment wines: We can work on a confirm vs consignment arrangement on the wines. You taste, select & pay for the confirm cases, for consignment bottles you can return balance back to our office & pay for what you used (by the bottle too) there after.

Complimentary wedding label: We do customise your wedding photo complimentary with one of your bottle, based on min. order of 3 cases of wine. We will need a softcopy of your wedding photo for this Anniversary memento bottle.

hi cute_miffy! What blursotong said is true - nov is the start of the rainy season already. Must have wet weather plan from the hotel - make sure either a marquee can be set up on the beach - then not beautiful already or better that they set aside the function room or nicer indoor location as your wet weather backup.
Been to one rasa sentosa beach wedding, beautiful, though some pple at the beach in their beach attire also stood around very nearby to watch the entire thing.

caitlyn: I tried bottles & bottles too at RTC. Their wines are cheaper cos they are local wines? (that's what they told me) I find their wine easy to drink but no kick for me.

I'm waiting for Carefour to have sales cos my friend told me to get the wine during the sale cos quite cheap?

Dear Galz.

Regarding the menses prob, I am quite lucky that it did not hit my wedding but however, it hit on my honeymoon, so i went to see a doc to get regulating pills. quite effective wor, got to eat like 1-2 days b4 the predicted 1st day and after u stop eating the pills, it will come within 1-2 days.. for me no side effect lo.. except the PMS symtoms still there.. =P

Can go to the doc and ask for it, think need to inform the doc if ur menses not regular kind or u might get preg.

SK2, it depends on the quality of the wine i guess....but i'm still looking around to see if i can find something similiar to the one i like with winebos but cheaper.....around $15 / $16 if possible.
