im not sure about that maraquan. sorry. But I know the one at Centrepoint has it. Quite ex though, but the whole packaging is just really nice. However with Paperhouse, maybe you can call them up first?

I tried googling for Paper House contact no but couldnt find any. But I found Art-Friend at Bras Basah, which is not too bad either.

Oooo, cos i not going to DIY balloon liao, maybe i go bras basah, try to find my craft puncher and pretty papers... and maybe can find a big round or heart-shaped box... dun need nice ones, i plan take very ugly one and wrap in the paper i already bot... anyone knows if i can find any there?

gotta get some swarovski crystals tto, the kind i posted.. to glam up my sis's totally black dress for my banquet... hhaha, as if lynn is very free...

so scared.. sigh.. cos my grandma is not in good health. she's with cancer but she dunno. we decided not to tell her.. the doc said she got 2-3 more mths to live.. i'm scared, but have to mentally prepare myself. i just wanna ask those out there... i'm a catholic.. but my family is not... then i'm "wai(4) sun(1)"..mother side grand daughter.. should my grandma really leave us, will my wedding be affected? my mum's friends say won't be affected cos i'm considered to "belong" to my dad's family... sigh.... i feel so guilty that at this time, still talk abt this.. but no choice, have to prepare for the worst...

There is a paperhouse at Bugis, dunno still there a not, another paper shops opposite Bras Basah, and there is another small one at "Adefi" building (wrong spelling again) the one opposite Funna center. Of course, Art friend also got some.

As for heart shaped box, you may try spotlight. They have ugly heart shaped box for you to decorate.

lynn, Think it's late and I may be incoherent.

There is a paper specialty shop at centrepoint. a new one. Very cool. At one point I wanted to buy invitation cards there, but hmmm... will only create a huge hole in my FH's pocket. haha.

maraquan mentioned Paper House which I believe used to be at bugis area.

Those boxes can be found at Spotlight as well. Maraquan, maybe you can try spotlight at Plaza Sing cos they have the hobbies and paper crafts section.

If you like DIY, you'll go crazy at Spotlight and Bras Basah.

Decided to use this for a thank you message on every table (ties-in with our favours too):

Its definately worthwhile to get a professional photographer. The friends and relatives wil listen to the photographer more when taking photographs unless you have friends whose profession is a photographer. I am also getting Yew Kuang. His schedule is very hectic. You have to book him fast if you want to engage him. I like Yew Kuang's photos as he tool my friend's wedding and more importantly, his rates are not too expensive.

Understand your feeling. If your mum said its okay, then it should be fine. If you personally feel that you are uncomfortable, can you change your AD? Hope that you Grandma can recover soon. The doc also advised my hubby's grandma that she can only live for <6months. In the end, his grandma lived and passed away only 5 years later. Who knows..your wedding news might brigthten your grandma and she may live longer...

Ha, my PS is tomorrow. Do you gals think a menicure and pedicure is necessary? If yes, I may have to take half day leave to do it.

i understand what you are going thru. sometimes it's really hard to co-ordinate celebrations with circumstances like this.. but then u still have to proceed.. that's life.. no matter what happen, we still have to continue our individual lives.

it's certainly not easy to overcome the guilt.. but then we are really out of control over life and death. i was in similiar dilemna as my dad was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer too. now i hope that the current chemotherapy will help to prolong his life, that he will witness my wedding and so much more.

Hi Bubbles,

From wat i saw from the list, you are quite prepared already. I have not settled on my AD photographer as hubby feel its too early to look for one. Can't knock sense into his head that good photographers will be booked by then. Think i muz continue to nag at him. I will not engage a videographer, going to ask my cousin to do for me...cost saving mah.

I have not decided on my dinner menu somemore..only paid a deposit to 'chop' the date. Guess i got to move a bit faster now..very fast Oct will arrive

Most ppl will booked their AD 1 to 1 1/2 yr before.
I think wkend is abit hard to get now but u can still try yr luck with e hotels of yr prefernce cos some of them ve a few ballrooms so they can cater to afew couple on e same night.

most impt before u start:

1. to ve an estimate no of invited guests.
2. shortlisted list of preferred hoetl venues.
3. a few AD dates.

for item 2, can be done thru phone so u dun ve to waste a trip down to find out dat yr dates r all booked up.
U can tentive book e venues n go down to view e ballrooms all in 1 day.

This is wat i did. Me views all my preferred venues 1st n siged up with my shortlisted hotel on their wedding show to get e peaks.

Dun fret too much over ypur gowns okie, think tat the cfm gowns are really nice too.. or if u wan to take both WGs (i think it's fine, but tat's just me) or if u wan to just take 1 WG also can lor...

A suggestion, if u just wanna take i gown, u can take another one to send off your guests, or u can request for a EG for your mum, or your sis, etc... You know, dun waste your gown allocation... cheapo cheapo lynn again...
