wow, this forum is really very active! thanks Vela for your recommendation, The Bridal Wardrobe? will give them a call.

anyone has any comments about maragret brides? i went to see her recently and i felt that we understood each other's sense of design. but her MTM gown cost $1.5. I'm doing DIY btw. can someone teach me how to see workmanship? because I'm not sure if the WG is worth $1.5.

BTW, i have two friends who are with Feline Bridal, and they are pleased with their services. FIY, the prices for their photos are very reasonable. they count by per page and not by per photo.
in other words, even if you have 5 pictures on a page, it is still considered as the price of one page.

Girl ren yu - Hello....& welcome. Can let me know which coordinator serve your galfrens? Cos I understand from them that they dun have particular employee that juz do coordinator. Meaning even MUA, photographers, designers can be the one serving as well.

Ger - Agree.....somemore the table in black as well. But I saw one somewhere near the buffet area, quite nice with those candle stand along the march-in area.

hi stupy,
i took the Hibicus ballroom, the one with the orangey wallpaper and has a window at the right near the stage.

Stamford is one with the grand piano at the cocktail area but the ballroom wallpaper is cream with a green border below...very office conference feeling.

Karen - Cant really remember the wallpaper & the window part, but how many tables you have? The 2 rooms that I like can take up about 20 tables & 25-30 tables respectively.

actually I don't mind black set-up at all but must have nice dark red and gold to make it classy.

in fact might be thinking of getting black EG...saw in HW mag that one of the bride (the one with the yatch entrance)wore one.

think the one that you like is the Hibicus (Lv 3, ground floor is not counted) cos it the most popular with brides...it can fit a max of 28 tables. Stamford (Lv 1)can fit max 35 tables i think but usually 30. The grand ballrooms are at lv2.

girl, no problem, I find TBridalW gd for reasonable price. Btw, any reason u want to DIY? It is gd if u selecting best stuff but no gd if on budget cos BS might quote u 1.5k but ended up u might need to top more..

Oh, sorrie, me again. Saw in some thread that the emcee asked everyone to line up when the couple was exiting and they shower petals on them as they walked past. Thot it's quite sweet but think the hotel staff will be upset with the clean up

Personally, I have an idea whereby can ask ppl to blow soup bubbles as the couple makes their entrance. But dunno if soap bubbles will get into ppl's eyes or worse, their food hehe.

Hi Stupy, it is rachel who served them. rachel is the boss. she is running the shop and she designs the gowns too. my friend likes it because she think the service is very personalised. another friend thinks that rachel is very accomodating

Hi vela, i do DIY because i do not want prewedding photography and also because I want to make my own decisions and not be constrained by BS. my BF also prefers me to do DIY because he says I will surely be not satisfied about something along the way if i'm with a BS. am going to give bridal wardrobe a call now. heard that amanda lee is good too. i like maragret because i like her attitude towards design. hehe, but $1.5 for the gown is alot of money!

Girl - Thanks for the info. Im still considering on which BS to go. Havent really start making appt with them yet.
$1.5k for a gown really have to depend what kind of fabrics, designs, accessories on the gown they are giving. If they are giving you all the best materials, than I feel that $1.5k is still not that bad. Maybe can chk with them again. This is juz my own opinion.
