Looking for minimalist concepts with storage ideas.

Some Main Works Considered such as:

* Flooring
* Kitchen cabinets
* Glass door for bathrooms
** Possible glass door for kitchen

How much and how long usually the renovation will take ?

juz to share, recently my bro juz completed his reno with the contractor which i engage a year back. Offering reasonable price n workmanship. If u interested can pm mi for the contract. to try an get a quote from him.

usally reno take abt 3 week to a month.
u looking to do whole hse flooing? overlay or hack n redo. coaue there will be diff in pricing.
glass door for bath room u mean shower screen? i get mine $380. as for kitchen cabinet top plus bottom 190/ft.

Thanks a lot for your post, sorry for the late response, I visit the other (Motherhood) forum more these days. I'll keep your contacts as reference, I'm still waiting for the final processing from HDB. Haven't got the key at the moment. Err.. I'm not quite sure how to answer you on the flooring, I have never done any renovation before, my previous property was a renovated resale unit, hence no renovation done. This one is totally new (i.e. no flooring done at all), so I'll be looking to do for the whole area.

yeah, looking to do the renovation for the whole house, but just basic &amp; simple one, quite tight budget.. I read through the forum that some ID quoted them sky-high price for a tempered-glass kitchen door, while the other managed to install from a contractor for even less than half the price! I've never gone through any renovation before, so, trying to ask around orelse will not know when they quoted me unreasonable price..

I'm looking to laminate the bedrooms floor in either Light Maple or Beech colour shade, now pending HDB to carried out the smooth flooring works on them (cement screed). A friend give me the contact of a company who carries the brand Pergo laminate, with offer of $3/sqf, is that a good brand ? I'm also considering to have an elevated platform on the suggested study area, which is to be laminated as well.

Aside from that, I'll need to do the floorings for the living/dining/kitchen area.

Ah yes, I meant shower screen for both bathrooms (common &amp; master), I don't need kerbs in there as well, already comes with a step down standard from HDB. All the pipes are hidden as well.

And after seeing the real position of the kitchen, I decided not to proceed with a glass door there.

The renovator I'm looking for should be flexible and creative enough to work on the ideas, with me partially bringing in my own existing furnitures &amp; appliances to fit in the new flat</font>}

sorry for late reply.
$3.00/sqft consider quite reasonable, mini contractor offer me kronotec at $3.80/sqft.
if u interested i can pass u my contractor contact. His quite flexible n willing to let us know the pro n con of the ideals of reno works. That something i like abt it.
Btw how to acitvate the pm function n pm others? Cause i can;t pm u as well. really blur??

hey girls, want to check how we suppose to do when we meet the contractors.

1st thing, do the contractors suggest anything? or i must have all my designs drawn out and give them?

then when they start work, must i like go stand there and make sure they do the right things or just give them the key? TIA
