Lighting of Dragon and Phoenix Candles

Hi, I understand that the lighting of Dragon and Phoenix Candles has to be done on the wedding day itself. However, as we are checking in to the hotel 1 day before the wedding and the tea ceremony etc. will all be done at the hotel i.e. no one is at home, when can I light the candles?

anyone encountered this issue before?
