Hi All,
I am hoping to seek some advice. My fiancé and I are getting married in Nov and he is Australian while I'm Singaporean Chinese. The expectation from my mum is for us to go through the Chinese tradition of him "fetching the bride" and then coming back to my parents' place as a couple after. I know that's the norm. However, just wondering if married/to be married couples follow a specific time for the above?
I have timings given to me to "fetch bride" and "return home" but the times seem impractical and doesn't leave room for other things we would like to do which is having our wedding photos taken as we are not doing a pre-wedding shoot.
Has anyone not followed a prescribed time for the customary rituals?
Thanks in advance!
