Outdoor ROM advice

Hi all!

I would like to do a simple outdoor garden ROM with buffet for 30-40 pax next year, 2018.

Can anyone advise what I need to look out for?
Apart from the $40+ ROM fee, and the venue fee, what else do I need to take note of?

Also, my actually wedding dinner will be in 2019, so we thought that we would only like to do a simple ROM next year for families, and close friends.

Hihi, I am also looking for ideas on outdoor ROM ideas, will be great if the ceremony is outdoors but for dining proceed to indoors.
I have many elders and afraid they would complain on the heat, but yet I want the pictures to look nice for the outdoor ceremony.

Here are my research on the places so far:
- Halia Restaurant
- Shangri La Rasa Sentosa
- Crowne Plaza Changi
- The White Rabbit


Any more recommendations to share?

Hi! I am also looking for a rustic garden venue for ROM!

For outdoor weddings i think its best to look for a venue that has back up options in case of bad weather conditions. I am looking for a venue that is more affordable since i just want a simple ceremony. I heard from my friend who attended a ROM recently at Vineyard @ HortPark, and it looked really nice, i am in the midst of discussion with them for my wedding next year and it is very affordable.

Saw this video, anyone has any feedback to share about Vineyard?

Not sure if you'll be interested.. If you want somewhere unique with nice outdoor scenery, how about on a boat/ferry? You probably can cater food on if needed. The bottom level can be used for the elders to escape the heat before/after the ceremony.

Or do a getaway at one of the local more private islands like St John/Lazarus.

Hey! I chance upon this wedding video which was taken @ Hotpark as well...it looks so much nicer to do it at the grass patch area instead of the platform.
