Height for OTR mermaid gowns

Hi BTBs, based on your experience, what's a gd height for OTR mermaid gowns? I've been to bridal studios to get quotes but haven't signed with any yet. So far they've reassured me that with my short height (157cm), I can still fit most OTR mermaid cut gowns. I'm quite skeptical abt that...

yup i did try on 3 so far...couldn't take photos. looked okay, but i'm wondering if they chose the shorter ones for me to try, because the entire rack of mermaid gowns looked longer (just by estimating though)
when i asked abt that the lady just said 'nooo, all about the same'

Are you worried that a mermaid would look like a trumpet on you?

Actually length is not the most important factor to worry about when deciding if you would want a mermaid gown. Personally i feel body shape is the most important. I am a person with short torso and mermaid gown is a no no for me. I look like a rectangle box when I tired on it. I am around 163cm And 50kg.
