Wearing your E ring for interviews.

Hi all,

I'm posting this inquiry on behalf of a cousin.
Anyone has any idea if it's really a professional dress code to attend job interviews without the engagement ring (and/or wedding band)?

Read from places that it's not very advisable.

Thanks in advance! :)

I guess if it's not too extravagant looking, it should be fine and not coming off as a show off?
Idk.. the articles all mentioned something along the line that employers feel that women with ring/band might place more priority on their wedding planning/family commitment.

Another one said women who don't wear ring/band have higher chance to getting hired.

and what is the underlying meaning or hint that single ladies are more likely to be hired?

It's just an engagement ring. It's just a ring. The HR in the right frame of mind will hire someone who shows competency and is a good fit for a job. I dont even want to imagine why they'd not hire someone just because the lady is wearing ring.
