Standing solemnisation

Hi,

I'm holding a small ceremony for 30 pax at a private venue and was wondering if it will be weird if I were to have the whole ceremony standing up along with the guests? I just find it rather redundant to rent 31 chairs just for a 15mins ceremony.

Has anybody done it this way?

That was my initial plan actually. Until our banquet coordinator told us that we definately do not want our entire guests including our parents to stand during the solemisation.

My htb also said if we let our parents to stand during solemisation, our family may say us rest of our life over this

Ahh I'm not inviting any relatives just my immediate family and friends. So maybe less tongue wagging over this issue? Fingers crossed ><
