What kind of candies do people usually put? Edible favors are good.. Useful and they can eat while waiting for the dinner to start.

You can go to those candy shop and get a bunch of variety. I personally don't think there is any standard kind of candies for wedding favors. Its your wedding, you can do it your own way. Be creative! But, I think to avoid chocolate so that it will last long and not get messy I guests want to take a few and eat.

Well, u make some points here. But I think my guests will rather this than some impractical wedding favours. Furthermore, TOTO tickets doesn't cost lesser than most wedding favours.

Yup. Actually our hotel provides wedding favours, but we decided to opt out of it because we realise a lot of guests will not take the favours home because they have no use of it. Saw a lot of leftovers when we attended friends' weddings.
Well, each to their own. Hope that you can find your ideal little gift for your guests!

Does opting out save you some costs? If not, just take if it's included in your package.
We use it to upgrade our suite. But still not very worth it as I heard from my coordinator that each favour actually cost about $3.
But we really like the idea of buying a 'little hope' for our guests so we decided to go ahead. Hee hee.

If your budget permits, get a good emcee, they can even arrange some games for the guests to participate which can brighten up the atmosphere even more which i heard of..
