am totally pleased with the flexibility of menu, the pillarless ballroom and an easy-to-reach coordinator!
the only downside is probably that the building is old. not as well-known to ppl..

I also realise that alot ppl dun know the place v well.. maybe cause of all the sleazy shops etc. Heh.

yea in all honesty, if not for the sourcing of hotels, i prob would not have paid any attention to that hotel on top of the shopping centre haha. i guess the main entrance/lobby located on a higher level makes it a disadvantage.. and yes..those sleazy shops..

but with only a ballroom + pillarless + high ceiling (at least i think its pretty high)..whats there not to like about it :)

Mine is lunch! :)

Haha same! I didnt really notice this hotel till my ex company had their d&d there 3 yrs back.

But lucky they have the connecting escalator now! Leads from the ground floor to hotel lobby straight. In the past we had to take the lift among the sleazy shops. Heh.

when is your wedding date? :)

yea at least people wont get so confused haha.. but i think i may have to tell my guests that those escalators lead to the hotel.. if not they may think its to some other sleazy part haha..

Yup! I have alot friends who still doesn't know about that escalator :/ gotta write on the invitation card clearly hehe.

I just went past Concorde today and I realized all the shops downstairs have been closed.. wondering if there are any new projects coming up? Praying hard it's not those sleazy bars again..

all? :O i haven't been pass there for quite awhile already... hehe (means i very long didnt go town too :x)
maybe they are getting a re-vamp or sth? :p hope it won't affect the hotel itself!

I am holding a sun lunch.... in may 2015 :p hahahaha. So can't really ans your qns :/
What 'feel' are you referring to?

i did ask for their quote!! yeow ming intro his colleague alex to me as he's having a promo. but i have been busy with guests at home to handle my AD PG..... anyway their rate cards.. i do have PG of cheaper prices.....Hmmm...

food tasting was okay to me :) my in laws got alot comments tho. but overall the quality n taste is good! they just need to buck up on their presentation :p

Loose ends like the song choices for march in, montage presentation, first dish presentation, VIP car lot, Seating arrangements, how many Halal + vegeterian etc.

Yup! Im not sure whether we will all be having the same coordinator now that Valerie has left Concorde... I met up with the new coordinator + Valerie last month! :)

How is the food and overall service by Concorde?

Signed up with Concorde last year for my dinner this Dec. Zaiton is my coordinator. She's really nice and friendly. Always just a phone call away if I need any clarifications.
Had our food tasting last week, I would say their food is value for money.
I am pleased with everything so far. Will update again !

I held my dinner at Concorde on the 20th of Dec, their service was awesome! Stephen the Banquet Manager was always readily available. Zaiton did a wonderful job is preping us. My guests enjoyed themselves as well as the dessert buffet which Concorde offered. I am so happy with how it went and also special thanks to Euphie who attended to our last minute changes.
The service impeccable, the staff amazing. Overall a great experience with Concorde! Thank you!

I am worried about Concorde hotel's old exterior. I visited the hotel few weeks back when I am sourcing the venue. The price for wedding dinner is reasonable and the perks given are great! However, the hotel give me the feel of 90s.. And there are also many sleazy pubs around the hotel.

However I love the ballroom as it is big and pillar-less.. Should I go for it?

Held my wedding in Concorde Hotel in 14.. Not my first choice thou but luckily for my wedding planner whom help me dished out a last minute dinner reception availability and managed to get concorde on a Saturday.

Some pointers which i can share with you..

1) The walk from bridal suite to ROM reception and wedding hall is abit too far due to the long corridor.
2) Yes, some of the sleazy shops at the basement may be a turn-off to some guest especially when they took public transport
3) I took up the dessert corner (not sure if they still provide this) and i was having a 20 tables and with a dessert table right at the back of the ballroom make the whole hall pretty much spacious.
4) Food presentation is good and only a couple of comments on the saltiness of a couple dishes
5) The cocktail hall is spacious enough to house guest before inviting them into the main hall, so i think this is a plus point
6) The carpet may be of black and gold and first glance may look weird but during the event, i thought when the light is dimmed down, the gold stands out pretty good
7) Not many people is aware the entrance is on the 2nd floor so there would be a need to direct the guest if they are coming from MRT or buses

Overall, a good experience with the hotel.

Juz FYI to btb. I went to concorde to enquire recently. Rosanne told me she has intention to resign n her department left like director n her!?! N unfortunately on that day I went, there were some pipe burst issue and aircon was down... Dno is not fated anot.. If nt might have book given the big nice ballroom. Haha
