Impt to know before signing any bridal package

Hi all BTB, before you sign any bridal package please enquire if you can choose any dresses for outdoor shoot or just a small selection of gowns. I didn't know about this previously and learnt it the hard way.

I have a package at Yvonne Creative, however the design of dresses for outdoor shoot is dated and the white dresses have turned greyish and yellowish. The nice/decent dresses are only avail for actual day use or studio shoot. I ended up having to get my gowns from other places for my outdoor shoot.
 


ya i totally agree.. I had been going to a few bridal shops and they are all pretty turned off when i asked to see outdoor dresses.
And when i did some shops had really poor selection of outdoor gowns.
 
Typically most outdoor white gown will be the older ones. I can understand. But if its greyish or yellowish, that doesnt sound very sincere.
 
Sigh, i signed up with them during BOWS. So didn't get to see the dresses. Getting worried as i notice lots of negative comments on yvonne =X

Anyone went bali for PS ? I have questions on that. =(
 
My bridal boutique states a clause that we have to pay for cleaning if we dirty it during photoshot, i was so worried that i lifted my gown up (pretty unglam) when i was walking from location to location to ensure i don't dirty my gown.

Do confirm how much they are charging for ampoule, especially overseas shot. I was told that it is $30 SGD when i confirm with my coordinator, but was told by my MAU that its 30 euro when i reach there. So proper communication is very important to ensure you won't get overcharge.

Omg ?! Yvonne creative bridal didnt notify me with that . O.O But if i were you , i will rather be unglam =X If not will have possibility to be charged.
30 euro is alot . So you paid for ? SGD or euro ? O.O

Yup, i was totally unglam coz i don't want to risk paying for a unknown amount for cleaning, so i make sure i lift it up enough so that it doesn't drag the floor when i'm walking. I think you may want to check if there are such cleaning charges be it local or overseas PS.
I manage to convince the MAU that the agreed price is in SGD (think she was just trying her luck), phew~

I went to Santorini for my PS.
 
Hi, I'm with Yvonne creative too. So far I've only done my gown fittings and my co-ordinator, Denise has been very nice and patient. The outdoor gowns are indeed as what others say alittle old looking but I did find mine pretty fast. Will be having trial make up mid sep and taking my ps end sep so hopefully all goes well.

Ooh, Your co-ordinator is the one that do sales talk to you ?? Because i don't know mine =X
Where did you decide for your PS ? Are the gowns beautiful ? Because i signed my package through BOWS. So i didn't get to see the range of gowns.
Who is your MUA ? You pre select or random ??
 
Nope. I signed my package at a roadshow also. Salesperson was Cheryl and the photographer, Sky.

As I'm working around tanjong pagar area, I went there upon confirming banquet dates to book an appt and was then served by Denise which I feel comfortable with. She's able to select gowns which suits me and thus abit difficult to decide on which I want. Haha.
 
Oops, forgot to say about mua. Denise selected shuli for me which should be ok as I've heard that she isn't too bad also.

Ooh, So the one that serve us during roadshow will not be our co-ordinator ? Yeah, I chose sky for my PG as well cause the photos for bali PS is done by him and i like it. But there is some grey areas that i have to pay for. If the photos that comes out is nice i think i'm okay with the top up.

Where did you select for your PS ? Local or overseas, local photos also not bad.

Yup it is a nice place. (:

Signing bridal package is a lot of bargaining, very tiring indeed. In fact, i was told if sales person wasnt your coordinator, then have to make sure whatever they promise you is written down in black and white in your invoice, otherwise going back to the boutique the coordinator may not know what's going on and say they did not commit anything, its the salesperson who did. Sales person can be part timers who are just there to clock sales figures, so they may over promise things the boutique cant deliver, so play safe, check your invoice. Anything not sure, always confirm with them, to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.

Yeah, But i regretted for not bargaining much so my package will cost 200$ more than the other brides that sign with them =(
I went BOWS and spend 5 hours there listening so the last one i went i didn't bargain much as i was tired at that moment.
I called up the bridal shop and my HTB was complaining that i'm over concern and "too rush" to know the details as the sales person told us that we will be going down again when the date is nearer for details of bali.
So i was abit upset as i was just trying to know what is covered and what else i will have to top up. As i was quite uncertain of my package for toping up 1k for bali and i still have to pay etcs.

Santorini some places is for free some places need admission fees ? Did you top up to go in for the admission fee ?

I think no harm to call and check, or just go down earlier to check on your package details before your actual appt to be more an xing.
Most important have to know what is not included in the package, any transport fee, ampoule how much, do you have to pay for photographer and MAU's meal (if so have to prepare enough money), coz all these are usually not included in the package and your coordinator ought to let you know these additional charges.

Everyone will definitely have a different package, $200 isn't a lot if yours covers a lot of things.
How many pose and gowns does your package includes?

I paid Euro100 for transport and SGD 60 for 2 ampoul (1 for me 1 for htb), but no admission fees for all the locations.

The packages covers the same as the other bride. Thats why i kinda regretted. Hahaha . But if they can provide me a good service i think its worth it. Rather to spend more money and have a meaningful one. I'm only worried that i pay more and angry at the same time. will not be good memories to recap a lifetime long.
Ya, i agree. Now whenever i got time i will think back of my package with uncertainly. Kinda affecting my mood. I called up the other day and the PG told me to bring about 500SGD over will be enough. But i'm just concern if my money is spend correctly. Thinking of 500SGD for rental of horses or camels and admission fee is worthwhile ?

I guess everyone will find worth as to what should be spend on. Some people prefer to spend on Prewed shot, some on venue, everyone has different preference. So if you think $500 is worth, and you love to have horses in your pre wedding shot, you should just go ahead so long as its within your budget. What you can do is to check properly what will this $500 covers.

& to know if there are any other hidden cost in the package, the best way is to go down and talk to the coordinator, and check through your package again to make sure you find out what exactly is included & they should also highlight to you the additional cost you have to make. No point worrying right? Just go down and ask to have a peace of mind.

$3588 sounds reasonable to me for an overseas photoshoot, of coz depending on what they give you.

Hmmm, $3588 is just the package. Going bali have to top up $1k more . Then excluding the $500 for shooting. Yeah , But my PS i'm intending to shoot next year may-jul. If i were to go down now seems early?

Going there isn't to make arrangement for your logistic of the shoot, it's to find out what you have paid for, since you say that you kept worrying about it and have so much uncertainty. Don't think you will want to worry all the way till next year right?
Is to have a peace of mind to clarify, not to settle any logistics.

You are worried and uncertain & its affecting your mood, yet you think its too early to go down to clarify, i guess its really up to you.

I would suggest u to either call them up or make a trip down to clear any uncertainty you have. So even IF *choy* anything happens, theres still time for u to come up with Plan B :)

If it was me, i wont even waste another day worrying. Will just immediately go clarify with them. Or else everyday worry here n there also wont do any good ya! :)
 
Thanks for highlighting! Maybe just use your actual dress for outdoor shoot? the yellowish and greyish dresses really disgusts me. I tried some dresses at varous boutiques and got a rash!

I've signed up with My Bridal Room and so far they have been very transparent with their charges. It is important to do your 'homework' first before signing up with any BS. Just to share my experience, For example if the package is $4088, My Bridal Room's practice is to collect 1k as deposit, 1k when you go and choose your AD gowns, 1k on the day you go for photoshoot, and remaining on the day you choose your photos. (If i remember correctly). :p
Unlike other BS, they want to collect as much deposit from you as possible. What i can remember is I've paid 3k on 3 separate occasions.
*FYI I just did my photoshoot 2 days ago.* Also, for AD gown selections they will only show you gowns which are worn less than 3 times. After 3 times, they will put the gowns aside for outdoor photoshoot. I tried an outdoor evening gown which i really like and asked if I can choose that for AD, but they told me they couldn't let me choose that cos the gown condition is not good (in their perspective), so i wore that for my outdoor photoshoot. Maybe they scared spoil the company's image if i wear that on AD. Haha...

My AD is Jan 2015. I've been doing my 'homework' 3 years ago. When I visit the shop I am all prepared. I asked about gown selection, ampoule and lashes how much, outdoor photoshoot transportation how much, top up picture how much, MUA tag along for outdoor photoshoot how much? (If these are not in the package details paper better ask)
Read though the package details: does it have FOC wedding car deco? FOC bridal bouquet? If don't wish to take the bridal bouquet or their MUA cos u have your preferred florist or MUA, how much discount can they give you? Wahahahaha....

Hi Angel, I signed up 2 years ago and it's less than 4k. Price might be higher now, but i noticed they are doing 8th year anniversary promo now. You may want to drop by or check out what discounts and perks they have.
I've done my research and compared the prices with other bridal shops, and I think My Bridal room's package has everything i need, price is reasonable and save me alot of hassle. Even the top up for photos is reasonable. You may wish to drop by their shop to find out more. Also, get them to show you their gowns. :)
 
Thanks for sharing. Mind sharing how much she charges? Heard so much about her but the portfolio from her Facebook wasn't updated and not impressive. Was hoping her actual make up and hairdo is better than those as posted............
