There are alots of choices, but depending on your budget and style that you want.
Perhaps you should tell us more on the requirements so the ladies here can give more accurate advise.

i have been looking around, and have few in mind. fairmont Singapore, Marina Mandarin, Gim Tim Restaurant at Safra TPY, Park Royal at Pickering. Food will be the most impt point. haha.. and not forgetting the ballroom. :)

Hi @belindashannon most of the hotels you have listed are in my consideration as well, some thoughts fyi:-

Marina Mandarin: We went to their wedding show last weekend, the main ballroom has a minimum of 35 tables. For the Ballroom on level 5, the maximum is around 28 but the place is very small and claustrophobic. The ceiling is low and you are essentially looking at the ceiling when you stand on the stage. There are also no projector screens in the room, except for one on the stage where the AV guy will help you draw up/down whenever. Package prices are nett and there is a SGD50 surcharge for weddings in the last quarter of 2015

Fairmont: You will be looking at Atrium ballroom if you have 20-30 tables, the other ballrooms require a minimum of 35 tables. There are pillars in the Atrium ballroom.

ParkRoyal @ Pickering: Pillarless ballroom, however package does not include beer. Number of tables is at 20-30 tables.

Gim Tim: The main drawback will be that you will not have a place to change and prepare.

I went to Marina Mandarin's wedding many time before but only to the main ballroom. The atmosphere is ok and you get to have the whole reception floor yourself. Not sure about the smaller ballroom. Food is acceptable.

Been to Fairmont Singapore for D&D and my uni graduation but not wedding. Doesn't like the location as it look so like an convention hall and share carpark with shoppers which have a risk of late comer due to carparks problem. I don't feel that the food is nice according to my two experience (maybe budget that why nv get good foods) . However my bff attend wedding function there before and feel overall is ok and nice ballroom. Maybe there are different type of ballroom.

Parkroyal @ Pickering, will only be going there for my cousin wedding lunch in June. Have you thought of Park Royal @ Beach Road ? it is much cheaper than Pickering. and they had renovated their ballroom. They are once my choice of venue.

Gim Tim: cheapest among all because is a resturant type. . many good feedback on the food of Gim Tim too. need to take note if it include wedding favours and carpark tickets anot , as mine venue resturant type (Qian Xi) doesn't include those.

I have not went to any of the hotels to view their ballrooms , I have actually attended wedding at fairmont, the food is good! And the ballrooms is pillarless not sure which ballroom is that.

Parkroyal@pickering: the only thing attracts me is the ballroom.. have see review that the food is bad.

Gimtim @tpy safra: I also heard the food there was not bad and the ballroom is beautiful.. only thing that there's no proper room for changing..

MBS: mbs was one of the choice But recently heard the food is bad. Not so sure of it's true..

I will be having mine at gim tim @ tpy safra. Initially didn't want that place due to no changing room from the review I read online. However, when we met the coordinator, I asked about the changing room and he showed us one. It is a small room and should not be an issue to fit 2pax inside...

However, there is no free carpark coupons that can be given.. only 1 for bridal car at the drop off area.
Their wedding favour is soap in the shape of rose..

crowne plaza min 20 tables :( thats why its out for me..
waiting for carlton to get back to me on my request of 16tables..

so currently the only hotel that can cater to my requirements is Grand copthorne waterfront hotel, the next one im going will be Novotel clarke quay..
Anyone attended Grand copthorne wedding before?
Can share?

For lunch crowne plaza is min 16 tables.

Anybody know if we can still get the perks deal offered in last week showcase for CP?

hi hidamari, i believe it's possible for the coordinator to extend you the perks offered at the wedding showcase last week though they alway say the wedding showcase perks is only for that day only. For my banquet (mine is at another hotel), I managed to secure perks which was offered at last year's showcase plus this year's showcase perks. most coordinators are friendly and are most willing to help :)

I see...I'm ok with the theme, in fact that is one of the reason why we signed up with them (love the zen feeling, very suitable for wedding lunch)...we signed up during wedding show and get to see how the ballroom will look like during a real wedding :)

mine is Jan 16.
150 guest. yes very good deal . i was thinking of halfday package also because their price is $500 only for halfday . but i took full day instead so no need to extend if not enough.
the photographer is a lady.
she is my best friend's photographer before so trusted already.
Ours is in the 10th haha quite close. I was just trying to figure out the schedule on that day so we don't overrun but should be fine since not a lot of things going on that day, just sign, have tea, eat lunch haha.

i saw some packages prices in Style Wedding (or was it in this forum), the price hike from 2013 to 2014 is $50 per table. then they show 2015 pricing, another $50 increment

everything you have booked already?
Mostly? Haven't decided on a dress, and if I wanna do my own makeup or wave bye bye to our money to get someone to do it. Ours is a simple affair so don't see the need to spend big bucks on mua. Will still get someone to do makeup for my helpers/bridesmaid so have to book that soon I guess.

Awesome! The one contact I have is about $120+, way cheaper than most I saw from $600 onwards so I was gonna call her one of these days. Could you pm me the contact? This is for bridal makeup right, not bridesmaids? I assume there's a diff price for that?

hi ladies, i've got a question to ask. hope someone is able to enlighten me.
in my AD package, I was quoted day and night makeup. However, I am having a luncheon so night makeup doesn't really apply. I just wanna ask if I get a touch up or a full removal of makeup before my banquet, isit also considered as a night makeup? thanks!

for wedding lunch, is there sufficient time to do a full removal of makeup and do a new set?
