Hey Gina I think for weddibg traditions no need worry, just go to any of e Chinese wedding shops n they will tell u wat to do, thats what im planning to do la at least... my mum is e gan chiong one :D

Me too a btb in sep 2014!

Had signed the following packages;
Banquet - Mandarin Orchard
Bridal - The Aisle
Videography - istudio production (a malaysia famous video production, those who are looking for videography can go see their portfolio!)

Currently looking for emcee! Any reco?
 
anyone can share your package for weekend dinner at fullerton, im looking at around 30-35 tables but don't really wish to take the ballroom which we need to walk down flight of stairs..

Hi Eileen,

Yupp, I just went to clementi the wedding shop to search and understand the procedure. Hahaha... Look easy but quite tiring... Have to start to prepare soon already... Guess my MIL is more urgent than me now... Hopefully everythings will be smooth done :)

How is your preparation going?

I am gg to sign up Vaughn Tan package. My htb likes his sincere service. I think my MTM gown will takes only 2 mths to complete ;)

Yup, I also can't wait to see my gown already... Will be choosing after next year CNY... What about you?

Guess next year will be a busy year for all 2014 brides... hahaha...
 
I see I see... All the best for your big day ya :) I have Rom last year, will be holding customary wedding next year... My suggestion to all btb, buy either goldrose ring or best gold...
 
Hey gina! I wanted restaurant too cos cheaper mah but htb prefered hotel lol...
I went in late sept to check out e gowns cos darn gan chiong n fell in love w 1 of e WG :D gng in dec again to try more haaaaa yes v gan chiong spider

The last time I make query on the BS package, I was told to pay GST. :(
Curious to find out anyone of you paying GST for your BS package.

Hi summer! When u signed e package did they tell u if e price was nett or whether it was subject to gst?

I signed w anpther BS, they didnt mention gst but I think my package was nett price...

How do you find the aisle? White gown and evening gown ok? Able to find gowns that u like? As I hv problem searching for gowns

The BS sales told me upfront when they trying to sell me their $4888 package. So when I approached my designer n photographer, they said they will absorb ;)

I am curious to know if any of you girls have pay for GST

Went down to see pictures from the iPad. Seem that I will face problem with their gown esp evening gown. I like hot pink but abit difficult to find

I actually signed up a package of 10 sessions and was being ask me sign more but I already have very fine hair.

The total session worth $800 and I am selling @ $400.

my evening gown is hot pink. i think it's not really that difficult to find?
 
Hi connie why not Google for images of e styles n colours of gowns u like n show them? They can then pull out similar dresses for u to try...
 
Hi, We just fixed the date to be 21st Sep but don't know where to start from. Is getting the wedding band too early now? Biggest concern is can't get a venue. T_T

Hi Lingyou,

I think getting wedding bands is abit too early now unless you going for custom-made.

The venue you choosing restaurant or hotel? Hmm, you may want to call in and book a slot with them... As Sept - Dec is a very hot period.

hi all.. seems like 6th sept is a good date.. :) Me too!! recently had a fortune teller to select my AD also on 6th Sept.. not too sure where to start looking out.. maybe from the banquet? afraid there won't be available slot for that date liao..

Babe book ur venue first, secure it n u can take ur time to source 4 e remaining stuff :)

Sept is chinese lunar 8th month - super hot month!

Lingyou, my AD same as yours! U must faster go book venue many is booked!
Our date in lunar calendar is 28/8/2014!

Booked my hotel lunch banquet.

lovelybaby, I do not intend to have a wedding planner as I saw how my friend stress over her wedding planner performance. But I did heard of a good wedding planner that helps the bride so much she have nothing to worry about and can continue work till the day before her wedding date... and this comes with a price of near to 5 figures :)

@lovelybaby we did not have a planner for our wedding as i wanted us to build this once in a lifetime project as a couple and to have more ownership. in my opinion, it was a great experience for both my hubby and myself and we got to know each other much better. took 2 days of leave right before our AD to tie the loose ends and got my hubby to run errands the whole 2 weeks before AD. if your hubby is willing and able to afford the time to help out, it would definitely be an advantage. we had 18 months to plan for the big day and we prepared checklists and program sheet in detail for our helpers. good to start early as it gives ample time to fill in the gap and for AD, get a friend to be the main coordinator so that both you and your hubby do not need to fret. we have to thank our brothers and sisters entourage for the great support they were during our wedding. it was a smooth event and both my hubby and myself did not have to worry about anything except being happy and posing for cameras on AD.
