Morning came and we totally forgot our misfortune, as we saw how beautiful Beauty Creek was. Basically the creek is like a river except that the level of water is really low, such that you can cross over it with a good pair of Gore-Tex hiking boots.

Guess I was the only one who really slept well that night, as I was unusually chirpy. We had breakfast, muffins and sandwiches, in the car overlooking a couple of snow-capped mountains. That is life at its best.

Feeling better, we drove southwards towards the Columbia Icefield. The Icefield is actually an area of huge glaciers which have been around for ages. There are SNOCOACH tours (basically coaches which take tourists on a tour on the glaciers) that can be booked at the Icefield Centre, or the brave ones can opt for the guided "Ice Walks' to hike on the glaciers.

The glacier we walked on was the Athabasca Glacier, which is at an elevation of 2000m above sea level. Again, breathing was a problem for me, and Dey had aching ears due to the sharp cold. Another round of snow fight was staged again, this time with another local couple.
