Au Balcon at The Garage

Ensconced within Singapore Botanic Gardens, the city’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site,The Garage is the biggest stand-alone property in a botanical setting.

Located within Singapore Botanic Gardens, The Garage by 1-Group sits at the nexus of history and style: an elegant 1920s Art Deco conservation building within Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built between 1927-1928, the 2-storey building was throughout its time the garage for the cars of college professors and a residence for their drivers; a school of ornamental horticulture; and latterly, office space for the Horticulture Department. It sits within the compound of the former Economic Garden, so called for its cultivations of nutmeg, rubber and other economic crops. In fact, the orchards of the Economic Garden inspired the naming of the other iconic Singaporean site nearby, Orchard Road.

The second level of Au Balcon at The Garage, a gorgeous air-conditioned contemporary space for one-of-a-kind celebrations of up to 150 seated guests. The dining hall is pillarless and features a high exposed beam ceiling and windows on both sides that open the room up to the outdoor greenery and sunlight, offering a spacious and captivating area for guests to mingle at ease and enjoy the celebrations without limitations. Au Balcon at The Garage also boasts an alfresco courtyard that is fully-sheltered, with lovely wooden floor panelling that runs the length of the upper floor, perfect for an outdoor garden solemnisation and reception.

Wedding menus are specially curated, and can be customised to ensure that guests, both young and old, enjoy their meal and time at the restaurant.
