Inspired by the idea of modern brides who value heritage and appreciate craftsmanship, story, and setting, Accent Bridal and Out of Stalk developed a concept centred on a sense of provenance—a dialogue between heritage and contemporary bridal artistry—to highlight the distinct old-world charm of each venue. Together with a team of talented wedding experts, including men’s suit tailor Assemble, hair and makeup artist Canvaseety, and photographer Iluminen.Singapore, they brought their vision to life.
Entering the Rose Marie Suite feels like stepping into a different era. Inspired by the ballrooms founded by affluent Germans who once resided on the island, the suite is designed to bring you back in time, to a bygone era of heritage grandeur. With its ornate detailing, refined furnishings, and soft natural light filtering through classical architecture, Accent Bridal and Out of Stalk embraced its architecture, light and mood, allowing the space itself to guide their styling.
“Nothing competed with the architecture; instead, every element was intentionally kept cohesive and measured to complement it,” Accent Bridal shares. “The palette harmonised with the suite’s warm neutrals, creating a seamless visual flow between gown, setting, and story. Meanwhile, the florals leaned toward sculptural forms rather than overly abundant arrangements, allowing negative space to echo the suite’s refined interiors.”
Having hosted royalty and heads of state over the decades, the Rose Marie Suite is a particularly meaningful location for couples who appreciate venues rich in history. With a capacity of up to 30 guests, the suite is perfect for intimate weddings and solemnisations with themes of vintage elegance. The suite’s cosy size and heritage interiors also make it ideal for couples seeking a European-inspired or Bridgerton-style setting for their pre-wedding photoshoot.
Min Jiang, on the other hand, offers a complementary aesthetic rooted in modern Oriental elegance. The award-winning restaurant, known for its refined Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, has become a favourite among couples seeking a sophisticated Chinese restaurant venue for their wedding celebrations.
“To complement the restaurant’s interiors, we incorporated subtle Asian sensibilities through texture, composition and a restrained colour palette,” Accent Bridal shares. “We chose select colours to create a gentle contrast against the warm tones of the space, bringing personality to the venue without overwhelming its elegant design.”
Min Jiang’s elegant yet contemporary interiors make it an ideal venue for intimate weddings with a larger guest list, blending heritage inspiration with modern style. The restaurant seats up to 110 guests in its main dining hall and up to 72 guests across its six private dining rooms when combined. For couples seeking an outdoor solemnisation, the Min Pavilion—a shaded timber-decked terrace overlooking the hotel’s main pool—offers a scenic setting for up to 30 guests. Like the Rose Marie Suite, the restaurant’s traditional interiors also provide a beautiful backdrop for an Oriental-themed pre-wedding photoshoot.
