Dorothy and Wan Xin’s Beautiful Destination Wedding at Tirtha Uluwatu Bali
Dorothy and Wanxin’s destination wedding in Bali was nothing short of magical.
It took Dorothy Tan, 29, Supply Chain Manager, and Lim Wan Xin, 30, Senior Sales Analyst, three years of being friends before they decided to become an item. After an intimate proposal at one of Singapore’s iconic hotels, the pair decided to tie the knot overseas for a happily-ever-after that was special and memorable for both them and their guests. Sneak a peek at their beautiful wedding at Tirtha Uluwatu Bali, where the happy couple sealed the deal and celebrated their love with their loved ones and a sky full of fireworks.
Tell us about how you met.
We met at the National University of Singapore and were in the same club together. We worked on a few projects as friends for around three years before getting together!
What was the proposal like?
It was beautifully done in the room at Marina Bay Sands. The hotel had no idea about our proposal plans but they upgraded our room into a beautiful suite – talk about timing and luck!
Why did you choose to hold a destination wedding?
We wanted something really special and memorable for not just us, but our guests as well. We wanted to hold our wedding somewhere really beautiful and unique that cannot be found in Singapore.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?
The most memorable moment of our wedding had to be our first dance (it was our first time dancing, and we just wing-ed it from a Youtube video), followed by the super magical fireworks.
