A Passionate Romance After Dusk Wedding Styled Shoot at Lewin Terrace
We hope the passionate, warm hues of this romantic styled shoot at Lewin Terrace will excite you as much as it did for us!
We’re back with another inspirational styled shoot and this time, we’re thrilled to return to the beautiful Lewin Terrace for another styled shoot. We did a wedding tablescapes styled shoot here two years ago and this time, we wanted to do something different. We wanted to showcase the versatility in the various spaces at the restaurant and bring out its innate dark beauty. So, together with the Wedding Diary team, we dreamed up a dark and romantic, Autumn inspired look to complement the venue after dusk falls.
With the help of our team of talented creatives from Keira Floral, Gifts of Grace Design, Winifred Kriste Cake, XOXO & Co., Crate and Barrel Singapore, KCottage Studio and Stanstills Photography, we succeeded in creating and capturing Lewin Terrace’s dark beauty and showcasing a different side of this highly popular wedding venue.
Most couples who wed at Lewin Terrace tend to have their solemnisation at the balcony terrace, but we decided to switch things up and use the Private Table room as the venue for our solemnisation set-up. We envisioned an intimate and private solemnisation in the room with just the couple and their Justice of Peace, so the Keira Floral and Wedding Diary teams created a standing solemnisation set-up filled with warm candlelight, jewel-toned florals, opulent gold hardware and a dreamy laser-cut signage by KCottage Studio with calligraphy by Gifts of Grace Design.
We first got to know of Gifts of Grace Design’s beautiful and whimsical creations when we contacted Charis, the artist behind the brand’s creative works, for a Real Weddings feature. Entranced by the beauty of her artistic talent and works, we invited her to be part of the styled shoot. Not only did she provide us with a lovely set of wedding stationery that complemented our romantic, Autumn inspired theme and the laser-cut signage for the solemnisation set-up, she also provided us with a gorgeous antique gold framed mirror stand with her pretty writing that added opulence to the entire set.
We (and all of you brides-to-be!) also got a first glimpse of a new product from Gifts of Grace Design – a gold-ink calligraphy engraved in a piece of acrylic – perfect as a keepsake of your wedding to remember your big day by.
Instead of dressing the balcony terrace up for a solemnisation, we turned the romantic deck into a cosy space for a VIP table for six. Lush, botanical florals in deep hues, succulent fruits and black candles in opulent gold candelabras lined the table. The orange glow of the candles, together with the simple yet classy tableware from Crate and Barrel Singapore and gold Tiffany chairs from XOXO & Co., lent an extra layer of romance and intimacy to the set-up.
Known as the Gathering Table, Lewin Terrace’s bigger indoor room was perfect for our vision of a charming, private set-up for the happy couple (or even a romantic set-up for a proposal!). The Wedding Diary team concocted a mesmerising creation of standing and hanging candles around the foot of the table, creating an alluring glow that one simply cannot take their eyes off. To complement the lush floral centerpiece by Keira Floral, they constructed a backdrop made out of faux leaves intertwined with dreamy fairylights, creating more romance in the air.
Last but not least, we returned to the balcony terrace after the sun set to set up our dessert table, with delicious, bite-size desserts prepared in-house by Lewin Terrace and a magnificent three tier wedding cake by Winifred Kriste Cake. With the surrounding darkness and the warm glow of the candles casting a mysterious, romantic veil over the spread, it felt like a decadent night time tea party between lovers.
We would like to thank all creatives who collaborated with us on this dark and romantic night time styled shoot at Lewin Terrace! It was a dream come true to work with you all and we had lots of fun – we hope you did too! Last but not least, thank you Lewin Terrace for inviting and providing us with such beautiful space to dress up!
