Deneon and Ken’s Intimate Tanjong Beach Club Wedding

Deneon and Ken pledged their love to each other in a seaside solemnisation filled with lush flowers, followed by an intimate Tanjong Beach Club wedding celebration under a canopy of fairy lights.

Deneon Ho, 42, Office Manager and Ken Koh, 38, Quality Control Manager were colleagues for seven years before they took their relationship to the next level. The couple exchanged their vows beside the sea at their beautiful Tanjong Beach Club wedding on 5 November 2016.

Tell us a little bit about your story, such as how the two of you met.

Ken: We had been colleagues for seven years when our friendship grew and blossomed into love. We share similar views on life, conflict management, and attitudes.

What are some things you love most about your partner?

Ken: She is well mannered, patient, logical, mature, and caring.

Dee: He is dependable, responsible, caring, positive, and hardworking, with a never-say-die attitude.

What was the proposal like?

Ken: I proposed to Dee in our beautiful sunny villa in Maldives. I engaged two of her good friends for six months of planning and preparation. Dee’s friends flew all the way from Singapore to help me surprise Dee. On one bended knee, I proposed to Dee in the villa, surrounded by the turquoise ocean. It was a beautiful and memorable day.

Tell us about your wedding.

Ken: I had always wanted a seaside or beach wedding under a starry night in an al fresco dinning environment, and for the wedding to wrap up with an after-party with all guests—while playing EDM music!

With that concept in mind, we engaged Chere Wedding to organise and plan our dream wedding. They were very efficient and experienced, and turned our dream wedding into reality.

What was your wedding day like?

Dee: We were blessed with cool weather, and our wedding day started off with a traditional tea ceremony. Our wedding venue was Tanjong Beach Club, Sentosa, with an elegant theme. We held our wedding solemnisation at the cabana, which was beautifully decorated with fresh pink and champagne roses and hydrangeas. Vetta Quartet played some of the our favorite music pieces to create a whimsical and romantic scene. Our wedding solemnisation was complete with our parents’ and friends’ blessing.

Ken: Wedding dinner was an unconventional buffet style, which allowed our guests to mingle. After the dinner, the after party started with everyone enjoying and dancing to the music for the rest of the night.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?

Dee: Our marriage vows to each other!
