Designer Feature: Marchesa Bridal Spring 2015 Collection

There are only two words to describe Marchesa’s Spring 2015 bridal collection: ethereal and romantic. The exquisite detailing and luxe fabrics synonymous with the Marchesa label is evident in every delicately embroidered and laced tulle, satin and organza gown in this collection. Designers, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, kept the silhouettes classic with A-line, sheath, fit-and-flare and their trademark ball skirt dresses while incorporating various popular bridal trends such as high necklines, long sleeves and whispers of blush hues.

Included in this collection are 3 shorter dresses that are in no way less feminine and romantic than their dashing floor-length counterparts and are just the perfect get-up for any bride’s wedding reception.

Superbly feminine, graceful, demure and incredibly romantic, I can’t help but imagine Chapman and Craig must have had Princess Grace Kelly in mind during the making of this collection, especially the ones with lace sleeves and ball skirts. The ivory gown with a fitted lace bodice, bell-shaped skirt and pleated waistline, in particular, bears a striking resemblance to Kelly’s 1956 wedding gown and is definitely a gown I can envision myself walking down the aisle in.
