Hilton Singapore’s Stylish Weddings Showcase
Don’t underestimate the importance a beautiful ballroom plays in the success of your wedding day. Where you choose to hold your wedding banquet, how majestic the ballroom is and how you decorate the space determines how much your guests will enjoy their time on your big day. Therefore, it is crucial that you do as much research on suitable wedding venues as you did for your dream gown. The perfect way to check out wedding ballrooms is at Hilton Singapore’s Stylish Weddings Showcase. Not only do you get a visual view on the hotel’s ballrooms and a tour of its bridal facilities, you’ll also be able do some browsing of wedding vendors at the show.
Hilton Singapore played host to a steady stream of soon-to-be-wed couples on 13 July 2013. Well-known for its authentic and contemporary set-up and located a stone’s throw away from Orchard MRT and major shopping centers, the hotel is not only an obvious choice for a wedding in the heart of Orchard Road, but a popular one as well. Couples were welcomed to the Stylish Weddings Showcase with a wedding goodie bag packed handsomely with a set of Peter Thomas Roth’s travel essentials, macaroons from Checkers Deli, a bottle of red wine and other exciting gifts.
Their dedicated wedding consultants then brought couples on a tour of the hotel’s Grand Ballroom, Vista Room and the rooftop Panorama Room, which were delightfully decorated in Hilton Singapore’s new wedding themes, Midsummer’s Dreams, Pink and Purple and Rouge Passion. The spacious Grand Ballroom is perfect for a grand wedding celebration of up to 500 guests while the smaller Vista and Panorama rooms are ideal for more intimate celebrations of up to 240 guests.
The three new wedding themes feature a variety of colours to pander to any bride’s preference. Midsummer’s Dreams is a theme reminiscent of a fresh summer’s day after a light shower – expect to see table centerpieces and a rounded arch decorated with champagne and pastel peach roses. Pink and Purple offers a vibrant contrast with the use of fuchsia pink and royal purple while Rouge Passion, a theme every traditionalist would approve of, is decked out with gold candelabras, deep red roses and candles.
A sumptuous lunch by the hotel’s Chinese culinary team awaited the couples upon their return to the Grand Ballroom. Couples helped themselves to a buffet spread of delectable appetizers and desserts such as Crispy White Bait Fish and Chilled Snow Fungus with Ginko Nuts and Peppermint while individual portions of the afternoon’s main course including Fried Udon with Golden Mushrooms and Black Pepper Dried Shrimp, Coffee Pork Ribs were served to them. As they tucked into the sumptuous spread, The Hummingbirds, one of Hilton Singapore’s partner for live wedding music, serenaded the room. Other participating wedding partners such as WhiteLink were situated about the Grand Ballroom, making it convenient for couples to browse through their products and services after lunch.
The Stylish Weddings Showcase ended with an array of wedding perks of up to $2,000 worth of cash discounts and lucky draw prizes of a complimentary Swarovski Crystal Elements bouquet by BLACKaccessories and a studio photography package by WhiteLink worth $1,680.
