By Any Other Name
How often do we get to feature a product that is named after our very own theme? Paul Smith Rose is a scent that is easy to love. Its latest edition takes the summer heat up a notch, flirting playfully with our senses.
What’s in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet
We’re no poets, but we love to quote Shakespeare anyway. In the play Romeo and Juliet, the line is said by Juliet in reference to Romeo’s house, Montague, which is her long time rival of her family. What Juliet meant to say, was that the names of things do not matter, only what things are.
So with a simple and rather straightforward name of this new scent by Paul Smith, Rose Summer Edition 2011 is born. Not just any rose, Paul Smith’s rose is an intensely fragrant rose, close to peonies, cultivated for Paul Smith by English botanist Peter Beales and presented for the first time in 2006 at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. Just one year later, the Paul Smith Rose became the very source of the fragrance Rose by Paul Smith.
Like the original scent, the Paul Smith Rose is at the root of this new fragrance. A heart-note composed of a tender blend of Osmanthus and Tea Rose, set off by a sweet and tangy touch of strawberry. The top-note of Bergamot offers a decidedly piquant mood to the fruity notes of Apricot and Blackcurrant for an irresistible scent, perfect for perking up a blushing bride before she walks down that aisle. The warmth of a woody base mingles sensuous Amber, White Musk and Sandalwood, very appealing to a man’s sensitive sense of smell. Your groom won’t be able take his eyes off of you.
The Paul Smith Rose Summer Edition 2011 Eau de Toilette is available at Metro Paragon, OG Albert Complex, OG People’s Park, Robinsons Centrepoint, Robinsons Raffles City, TANGS Orchard and TANGS VivoCity.
