Hi all!
Honestly, after reading about mostly the bad reviews online, I had my reservations and was skeptical on what to expect from YC before our first gown fitting. Let me begin our "Grandmother story" first.
My first gown fitting was supposed to be in
Mid May, and I had booked my slot way in advance in March this year. But it happened so that YC was shifting over to their (current) AMK place and their dressing rooms were not ready yet, hence my coordinator called me and texted me the day before the shoot to inform me that the fitting would have to be rescheduled to another day. Of course, it couldn't be helped but we also couldn't help but felt annoyed. Especially so because my fiancé was so damn busy during the month of June and July and it was tough for him to apply leave due to work commitments. And so, we rescheduled it to Early June.
Pre-Sales
The sales coordinator whom attended to us during a small-scale wedding fair 3 years ago was Jane. She was really nice, and offered more stuffs to us to get us to sign (like duh, lol). And at that point in time, we totally DID NOT negotiate for more poses or MTM gown.

So stupid now that I think about it... But overall, the package was comprehensive enough and covered us for most standard items including AD photography (for which we will forgo because we will be engaging our choice of freelance AD PG & VG)
Location
I prefer Tanjong Pagar because it is nearer to town. AMK Link is out of the way for me but it is larger and very neat, and is very spacious for gown fitting. Made me feel like a princess after each fitting (just like how the brides always come out of the fitting room with the curtains opened up to reveal them looking oh-so-gorgeous in their gown. Ahem, drama mama me).

But I've never been to their TP outlet hence can't compare which is better.
Coordinator
My coordinator is Cheryl, and I love her man! I only have praises for her. She is really bubbly, friendly, always has a smile on her face, and is responsive to my texts. She got me to try on all sorts of gowns, except mermaid gowns because I told her I would definitely not choose mermaid gowns because of my hips. She was actually recommended by my
colleague, as she found Cheryl to be really nice during her gown fitting too. This is so important because through all the trying you will then be able to find the styles that suit you. Styles which you initially thought may not suit you may suit you at the end. But you got to have the time and energy to try. First gown fitting was not so ideal because at the end of the session, I still felt that my chosen gown wasn't my ideal, not THE gown which I had in mind - think
ruffles gowns.
There wasn't enough time for me to select my outdoor shoot gowns and my fiancé's suits so we had to go back for a second fitting, in early July. This time round, it was really great because I managed to finalize my Pre-Wedding shoot gowns as well as my AD gowns (1 ivory, 1 mint). It was love at first sight for my AD gowns, serious no kidding :>
I will be going for my trial makeup this Saturday as well as try the altered gowns. Our Pre-Wedding shoot will be this end July, and I will be back to review the photographer after that! Stay tune, and hope this review helps! Brides to be, don't worry so much like I did previously.
