hi Tatty,

Did FJ pinpoint why the bodice wun sit properly? I know ur WG is very low-back, so i was thinking if the straps are taut enough & so is the bodice, esp with the boning, hmm, the WG shd sit properly? *cross fingers & toes* tt FJ can help u settle this & make u a pretty bride!

Btw I was at Singapore River the other day, near Central Mall to be exact.. I thot it looked quite gd in the evening.. The ambience along the entire S'pore River is quite varied in their themes, depending where u are. But i too agree, give Fullerton a miss

Hi Mehmeh,
Actuali, the bodice too loose on top & side lining doesn't stick close to body.. worried will "run light" too.. & felt tat waist abit tight.
It might be waist too tight which might made the top look loose..
Cross finger tat FJ can get it done for me before PS..

Sure. That's provided I made it for the trip. I went to Maldives few years back. Really wonderful countries. Will go to another island if we can make it next year. Resort price is going up, hence better go there early.

When is your wedding? Still have not found yr AD photographer? Better go find early if yr wedding is a hot date. For wine, we got a list from a wine supplier and bought a few to taste. Felt its better to get consignment as we brought home abt 15 bottles, so gotta drink during hse warming... haha.

Parents dun really like us to do wedding stuff during 7th month too, but they are not that particularly. My banquet coordinator already chase us to settle our invitation card 2 week ago, hence to settle things faster liao!
Basically, we are forced to do. Now we left with planning our state HM. Go on self-drive.

Heeeheheh! I went during the SAR period few years back. The price for the trip is super cheaper. I spent $2.5K for the entire 7D trip including diving. Hence, it is very worth it. The last time it have this offer is during the TSunami time. Next year Maldives going to increase their price liao!
The dives were great. Can see turtles, moray eels and lot of reef fishes every dive. I saw manta rays. really fainted, feel like hugging the gentle creature. =P

No, dun have diving eqpt cos I have no room to store them in place. Just have the snorkelling eqpt. I dun dive with wetsuit too. heeheheh! but that's bad if you love wreck and cave diving. Got cut here and there after my last cave dive. =P

Hi ladies,

I have one question to ask you all. need your advices.

If I MTM a WG, can YC let other BTB to try and even to select my MTM WG when my AD is not yet over? Cos now, from one of our BTB, I saw that YC allow her to try my MTM WG just one week after my PS. And my AD is in Dec 06. Sorry, I'm not targetting that BTB, just that I'm angry and confused. Can YC do this?

from what I understand from other bridal studios is that once u have selected your gowns, be it OTR or MTM, they will keep it aside for u until ur AD. And I have paid for a MTM package and this WG should be exclusive to me until after my AD right?

I just feel that YC can't do this, or is this normal for bridal studios to do?

Hi Sze Wai,
your concern is the same as mine initially.
I guess it is the responsibility of the co-ordinator in charge to permit another BTB to try on. If the other bride knows that the gown is MTM for another BTB, she would likely not be trying it on. Afterall, we don't want others to wear our own gowns either.
Perhaps you should tell FJ about it so that she could take note of it.
FJ permitted me to try on a gown which I fancied but after second look,I realised that it is another BTB's gown.I told her it is not ethical to wear somebody else's gown if they MTM. So in the end, I did not try it on.Maybe those who visit this forum would keep it that way too if we pass it on.

Do give her a call if you still have worries abt it. I'm sure she'll help.

The sure way one can avoid others to try on their MTM is to purchase the gown.. I think this is practiced in higher-end boutiques.

How long is ur trip to BKK? If u dun hit the next weekend, u prob wld have to give Chatuchak, the weekend 'flea' market a miss.. It's a great place for lotsa bags, clothes & shoes & even household items. I got some crockery there..

Another place open 24-7 is Mah Boon Khrong, or MBK in short. Lotsa shoe shops, so u can get very gorgeous heels at a steal.. Avg most shoes are 199 - 250Baht, or SGD8-10. Some pretty ones with lotsa diamantes, suitable for wedding, can be found there..

Hahah, of coz food is cheap.. Esp the pork floss sticks, pork floss in love letters, durian chips. Many S'poreans go over to eat the shark's fin, but i like it the Chinese wedding dinner way, rather than the braised fin. These items can be found in Chinatown in BKK.

For clothes of greater variety & less stuffy conditions than CTC, head to Pratunam. Buy 3 pieces & u can get them at wholesale prices. Gd opp to buy the jie-mei attire, then bring to SGP for alteration where needed

It's quite easy to get ard, MBK is linked to the BTS (our MRT).. If u can't make it to Chatuchak, coz it's only open Sat-Sun, then i think MBK may still some wedding favours.. But slightly pricier

Cos we have paid more for the MTM. so we expect it to be ours until after the AD where other BTB may try. my other frens also told me their bridal studios will not let others try their MTM gowns before their AD. purchasing gowns will be too ex. will need to talk to FJ about this.
