hi, i noticed that most of the BTBs here are going for York's carlton and rosemarie halls. how about 'top of the york'? im attracted to york when i realise top of the york is actually quite high and offers panoramic view of the city,it is true?

i had my Food tasting at Top of the York. Its a nice spacey place. but hor, its really quite small. can only accomm like 10 tables?? so unless yours is a small scale dinner/rom. else.. i think cant.

i think BEST ballroom is Carlton. cause its bigger and it has its own private lobby (the lift opens right infront of the ballroom. nice.

Hi,

I'm seriously considering York Hotel for our wedding banquet. However we are concern about the sitting arrangement cos we have 36 tables. Has anyone hosted 36 tables at Carlton ballroom?

carlton can go up to 40+ tables but cannot close partition. same for ur 36. max is 32 for close partition. seriously i rather dun use the partition cos it not pretty.

hi bluey ... ya open concept looks nice ... but i am worried abt the recept area ... looks kinda weird where the recept area overlooks all the banquet table.

yaya ... i guess top of the york is the only choice for small wedding if i din remember wrongly they can hold about 12 table max

hi, anyone has any idea if is hard to get cab at the hotel? just have a concern if it will be inconvenient for the guests to get transport after the dinner.

I just finished my food tasting last Sunday. Food was not bad & portions quite big.

Sumi, if u dun mind a smaller frame ballroom, then mayb you can consider York. York has a more pleasant & brighter environment & Park royal is rather "retro" with those yellow yellow atmosphere..
