Without gatecrash?!?!

Hi all,
May I check if it'll be awkward for the groom and brothers to fetch the bride without gatecrash?
Anyone had it without gatecrash?

I’m planning one without gate crash too. Cause I feel that it is pointless to play games. Especially those ridiculous games.

Most importantly is the speeches, and enjoying yourself at the wedding.

I wanted to omit that too, but my family insists because they say it adds on to the wedding auspicious atmosphere etc. But they know the limits to not do nonsensical / awkward games, just simple ones will do, if not no point having brothers and sisters at groom's & bride's side. haha

I’m planning not to have the gatecrash as well. Cos my Mother in law says that in the olden days, they don’t have gatecrash and the marriage still on going strong.

The brothers and sisters are there to help the groom and bride, making sure that everything goes smoothly.

Initially i also thought of not having any gatecrash for my wedding but recently i was one the bridesmaid for my cousin wedding which also doesn't have gatecrash. The whole day was pretty awkward meeting the groomsmen tho.
I guess gatecrashing is a good form of ice breaking.. some simple games will do no need to go till the extend of "tekan".

Gatecrashing is a fun stuff ... you can form the challenges which is along the theme of the strong or unique trait of your groom ... then he can shine Loh ... ie mathematic, memory, dancing ...

Just to add ... We usually say gatecrash is the highlight and time for groom to shine ... the rest of the day belongs to the bride

Hihi, those who intend not to have gatecrash, do u all intend to have bridesmaid in the morning session? I’m thinking since I am not having gatecrash early in the morning. Do I need bridesmaids to be with me? And do I still need them to wear those bridesmaids attire ?

You might need the Maid of Honour (leader of bridesmaid) or more bridesmaids to be there so they can help you with dressing up, carry your things, and making sure you guys are on schedule. Depends on you.
