hi Bride Singapore

I almost took Wombat Hill red wine too but after some thoughts, i think it's a bit too heavy for Chinese Dinner. I changed it to Queen Adelaide Pinot Noir which is good and my guests all love it. Even my colleagues who are from Germany felt the wine is good. You can consider that and the price is comparable to Wombat Hill.

hi.. Any good red wine recommendation?? Too many to choose outside.. if the price are too cheap is that mean that the quality are poor?? How to know the quality of a red wine?? The quality of a red wine is mostly determined by the price?? or wat?? Pls help!

i think it's $15++ per bottle. can't really remember....

eve, you have to like the wine yourself that's most important. and no, price doesn't equate to quality of wine.

Hi eve,

you may want to use the wine that I'm using for my wedding. Is selling at 7-11 and Giant, one bottle is S$25 but I got it from the wholesaler, one bottle is $18. I used Cabernet Sauvignon, very full bodied.

It depend what type of taste you like, Merlot will be a bit sweet, Shiraz will be dry and as for Cab Sau is full bodied. My guests commented that the wine good.

They do have consignment, minimum 12bottles which is one carton. You may also arrange with them for wine tasting.

If you interested you may email me [email protected] so that I can email you the wholesaler's detail.

Hi,

I would like to get both red and white wine for my wedding. So far, from the link above, I will probably get German/ Austrian Riesling. However for red wine, I am still not sure what to get?

All advices are greatly appreciated.

Hi Tansan,
I realised it's very difficult to find a wine that goes well with chinese food as red wine is usually meant for western food. Heh..but personally i think a cabernet sauvignon is nice! It's easy to drink. I prefer that to a cabernet shiraz or a cabernet merlot.

hi All,

Sorry sidetrack a bit from wine to champagne. I need some advice on the champagne type and pricing as I like to get a bottle for my ROM. But I am not a wine person so need experts to advise..

Anyone knows which of the below is good (and whether the price is expensive as per what was stated?) Or any other recommendations:-

1) Deinhard Medium Dry White Sparking, Germany NV ($32)
2) Deinhard Rose De Blanc et Noir, Germany NV ($39)
3) Veuve Emille Champagne, Epernay France NV ($59)
4) Moet & Chandon, Epernay France NV ($75)

Thanks in Advance...

Hi Ladies,

I would recommend this wine for you gals that looking for wine for your wedding. The wine that I used for my wedding is Red Deer Station which is very nice, full bodied and smooth. This cost S$18 per bottle + 5% GST (wholesale price, retail price from 7-11 and Giant is S$25) But I found out that when i travel in the budget airline Tiger airline, this Billy goat hill (can size) taste nice too, good for those that like sweet and easy drinking wine lover. It is from the same supplier that I bought my wine for wedding. Billy goat will be cheaper that Red Deer Station, is S$15 + 5% gst (retail in 7-11 and Giant is S$21).
Is quite affordable and value for money for those who looking for wine for their wedding...
Anyone interested do drop me a mail...

Hi Sweet Donkey,

I have good impressions of Le Benaton; he carries mainly Burgundy wines not found elsewhere in Singapore, but I believe he can certainly find you a French wine to your tastes and budget.

Apart from purchasing one bottle of wine from him, unfortunately I have had no other experience with them.
