hi, everyone
im a 2008 jan brides. both mi n my husband r not a wine person. can any1 adivse on choosing a wine for wedding banquet? any brand 2 recommend? budget is < $25 per bottle.thanks

your budget is very generous !!! most people will choose red wine for chinese banquet as it pairs well. however, its really up to your own preference. Most wine shops have their range of wedding wines that are priced from $14 up ... just go down to a few wine shops &amp; ask for advice. I would recommend - QUEEN ADELAIDE. their range is not bad, and easy to drink. can be bought from cold storage, giant ....

Hi Lin,

Agree with Drew; your budget is very generous. You can get decent wines for $18-20 per bottle. Personally I prefer Carrefour at Suntec for wines; they have a wider range and their wines are usually cheaper.

I got mine from Parker's for $15/btl. Not too bad la. Some more can taste before ordering. They do consignment too. If you can't finish what you ordered, can return.

since u not a wine person, then just get off the rack from Shop N Save, Giant etc..... i see they have ads every week promoting a bottle below $10. huge savings indeed !!!

I'm helping my friend clear off his wines from his wedding. (He over-bought!!) It is an Australian red wine found in most high-end restaurants and bars, and are NOT found in any supermarkets. The wines are kept in good condition. Self-Collection can be arranged. Delivery is subjected to $15 taxi fee.

U can try Ba*works (replace * with r) at Chinatown Point or Winebos near Clarke Quay...U can search their names to find their websites. Both offer consignment basis for wedding wines..

Morning ladies, a friend of mine have a few crates of South African red (Pinotage) and white (Chenin Blanc) wine to let go. It is particularly easy to drink, very suitable for weddings. The retail price is about $59 per bottle but now willing to let go at $27. If you actually like to take a bigger quantity, I think my friend is willing to let go at a further discount.
