Hi deean, you may be gaining muscle mass which can account to the weight gain. Do get yourself checked on a karada scan..this will give a good gauge of what is your body composition is. I really admire your change and keep up the great work. This is what I learn frm TRA as well, some of my friends didn't lose much weight because they are gaining muscle but at the same time, losing fat!

Hi deean,

I think you have gained muscles instead of lose weight. To lose weight your calories intake must be lesser than your burned calories.

Currently you are doing a lot of cardio exercise, which is good! cause cardio helps to increase our heart rate and burn fats! So you should carry on.

However I think you need to change your diet abit:
1. Kaya toast - you may try to replace your kaya toast with wholemeal bread..cause kaya is in high in sugar.

2. chawanmushi - 1 chawanmushi = 3 eggs (white + egg yolk), so you shouldnt take this too often!

3. Mango Juice - Mango is high in fruit sugar, I know fruit is good, but go for those high fiber like apple and kiwi (good for our skin)

If you really want to lose weight, try to control your calories intake in range 1000 to 1200 per day.

To maintain weights, keep in between 1200 to 1500.

I also on diet now! Lets work hard together =)

Hi, deean,

I found that you do have The Right Nutrition although you have The Right Exercise

Always follow the 3-3-3-3 Diet Principle: take 3 servings of Carbohydrates, 3 servings of Protein, 3 servings of Vegetables and 3 servings of Fruits.

One of the rules in successful weight management is DO NOT GO HUNGRY! It is recommended to eat more of high fiber and low fat food. Proper diet can promote fat burning and control fat storage in your body.

Consume plenty of macronutrients (proteins; carbohydrate; soluble fiber and fat) and micronutrient (antioxidants, vitamins and minerals) to achieve your weight management goal.
Fresh and color rich foods are high quality foods, processed and whitened foods are low quality foods. High quality foods are natural and healthier, assisting in your weight loss efforts.

Hope it helps you or you may e-mail me at [email protected]

This is great! More people shld know abt TRA. Well, its the right approach! If not, why would there be so many healthcare professionals recommending this program? My consultant is a pharmacist and she is also working with her group of pharmacists and doctors. They are the new generation team that look at healthcare before sickcare. If anyone out there is looking for a safe, effective and a holistic program that make sense!...take a look at TRA. FULL STOP.

Hi Sulin,

I understand each individual has a basal metabolic rate which is based on your height, weight and age. Adjusting your BMR is not advisable as it is changing your internal body function. However, you should do more exercises (walking also counts). This will increase the amount of calories you can take daily.

Indeed diet plan is good, which I think you had done well

I had also started a treatment program and lost 5kg in 2 months. Happy to see the fats lost from those ugly places. But I still eat buffets with friends like every alternate week. At same time, I track my daily calorie intake to ensure I don't exceed my limit.

Those interested for the free calorie calculator can email me at [email protected] It is simple and good to use online, plus it has iphone app
