Hey Gals, you may want to try AP24 toothpaste, its a whitening toothpaste with anti plaque 24hrs...I like it so much, you c, I'm also an avid coffee drinker, it helps me maintain that cleanliness and definitely lesser stains than when using normal toothpaste...

i chanced upon this post and decided to reply.
basically i feel that whitening toothpaste dont actually helps. it may help to remove the external stains but definitely whitening the tooth internally.
there are generally 2 types of whitening :
1 using a take home kit which u use at home yourself, the other is done in the dental office by the professional, which is much faster,
the in-office whitening is of course more effective and faster than the take home kit where the dentist makes u a tray which u bring home.

teeth whitening may be done by lasers, or by chemicals. not much difference whichever way you get it done.

teeth whitening done by laser is fast and effective. the bring home kit will take abt a week or 2 and is definitely cheaper compared to doing it by laser. both are good though.

however it is always recommended to do the laser and get the home kit for maintainence if u want the whiteness to last

i'm a dental professional btw, hope this answers your questions.
cheers!

I have used Clear White whitenining stick. It retails for about $30 or $40 from Watsons, and it works. Should see some effect in about 2 weeks if you follow the instructions and use it diligently. It's shaped like a two-way lipstick. One side is a liquid applicator and the other side is a solid applicator.

Hi Vic,

Whitening has no side effect except temporary sensitivity (which is managable with de-sensitising gel). However,it may burn a small hole in ur pocket! haha
