Am preparing for Europe and UK trip in September; and even though it's not winter, I am naturally afraid of cold, so I fret over the budget for buying coldwear... and shopping experience tells me that if I'm not willing to fork out enough money, I can forget about looking remotely fashionable in the cold. Unless I go for second-hand, which is difficult, considering that I'm
So I was shopping in Queensway for comfortable shoes but came across many shops offering heavy jackets (I know, I am distracted easily, haha). There was one which we stepped into, and when the ladyboss knew we are going travelling, she led us to a separate shopfront which specialises in coldwear.
The brands are quality ones, such as North Face and Columbia, and they look a lot better than the sullen ones which we come across often. One thing was that they were short on sizes, so I asked, and the ladyboss told me that what she had are factory rejects but defects are very marginal. I tried on many pieces and found most of them comfortable, all of them affordable and practical while managing to look good.
Daiso sells lots of cute cute gloves and socks at $2 each... Even if they are not good, they will still be useful for layering at night.
