Wedding Cake for ROM

My boyfriend birthday and ROM falls on the same day. I would like to buy a cake as a suprise for him. However, a cake shop actually quoted me $300 for the smallest wedding cake. Any opinions?

The cake shop I approach is in AMK area. Quite famous for doing wedding cakes, as it was recommended by the co. which I book their ROM venue

Oic How many ppl can you cake serve and what favour is the cake? Which part of AMK is it located? Is it a tier cake?

You must be referring to Pine Gardens.. their cakes are delicious. I also ordered their wedding cake for my ROM party. The Lychee Martini flavours is very good.

that cake is not tat big, about 3kg only. it just look nice, taste wise, very normal, the outer layer very sweet. about $300 plus i think. cos since wedding day make cake have to make big one for everyone, and i got budget, and i just love these cakes, so rom is the best time lo, no need make very big, and get the experience, hee. the flowers have to get yourself too, then they put on. the cup cakes about $3-4 each, exclude my cost for the box and ribbons.

Canele at Paragon, Shaw house. But to make cake have to speak to them at Robertson Walk, Mhm Sultan there, near Dbl O. Have to make apptm, I believe you can easily get a name card from Paragon branch. Yes they deliver to my hotel, at a charge.

if you gals are looking for something not that expensive, i tink pine gardens is a rather good choice.

i ordered my cake from them too. In fact, the 'designer/baker' was able to incoporate mi ideas and hers into a sketch within 10 mins. i prefer having a normal sponge cake to a fruit cake(im not reali a fan of tat.), so tats one of e reasons y i chose them.

I even went to the extent to order a cake for mi frends bdae, and all mi guests, even e kids, praised e cake n asked mi whe it was from.

i've looked thru some other bakeries as well, bt they charge reali high prices, and i heard tat e cakes dun taste as gd as it looks.

Of course, it still depends on individual's budget. =]

There are web sites on cakes in Spore, many with nice wedding cakes, cup cakes, more affortable price. Just do a search. Usually, to do cake with tier, like 2 tiers, min will be 2kg to 3kg, cost should be $200, 300 plus plus.

Just my 2cent worth of suggestion from my wonderful sister's ceremony we had recently. Because of the tight budget, we combined the idea of having to buy a cake & wedding favors. Who doesn't need to save $$$ right?

The outcome was sooooo stunning & elegant.. All the guests can't stop admiring the centrepiece and NO ONE forgot to bring the favors home!
It was talk of the day...

PM me for more details if you need. I was told by the lady who handmade these for us that they just launch these, first in Singapore and magazine was going to feature them soon.

I still haven't got the picture from my sister's photographer yet but similar to here's what I got for her...
