Website to book paris and london hotels

hi

why not go to tripadvisor.com for more info on hotels in paris and london. i would recommend looking at the boutique ones which offer a more local experience, as opposed to the generic holiday inn, hilton ilk.

the website has links to a few booking websites like expedia and you'd be able to compare prices.

if you don't like the hassle, travelex tours are quite good

I second tripadvisor.com. There are many honest reviews by people who have stayed in the hotels. Once you determined which hotel you want to stay, you should checkout the hotel's own website to see if they have any specials. Expedia or Zuji may not always give the best rates, and it is so much hassle to go through a 3rd party.

raymond,

how about decent B&B, hostels, etc? don't want to spend too much on accommodation in uk...

You could also try:

http://www.bedandbreakfasts.co.uk/

Just a hint, if you can book direct with the place itself (will be slightly cheaper by about £2. Not much difference I guess). Discovered this when we went to Llandudno (N Wales) last year. The owner of the B & B said that the website charges them a £2 admin fee. So those who book online absorb the admin fee into their rates. Not sure if this applies only to the one we booked from or to all the accomodation on the website. Anyway its still pretty useful to be able to check for availability and read the guest reviews.
