I just happened to come across one of the forum members blog and particularly like this article:
http://mrandmrsoops.blogspot.sg/2015/02/how-do-bridal-studios-sales-talk-us.html
which i feel that is very good knowledge to have.
So i am going to be very frank in adding on my personal opinion. My message to the bridal studios is that, not everyone is rich enough to buy expensive bridal packages. in realistic sense, if i could, i would already probably done a smaller scale wedding with a simple white dress from ZARA or Taobao. All those expensive packages for photo add-ons is just gimmicky promotional tactics.
For now, i am hoping to convince my family and parents to accept a lower budget small scale wedding.
For couples who can afford, good for you.
However, for the other budget-conscious brides who are planning your wedding, i would say, be very cautious when looking out for wedding services. In the minds of the bridal studios, you are just seen as a "walking dollar sign" and potential customer for them to ka-ching your money. While planning for mine, i have also encountered some bad experiences with not so good vendors.
End of the day, just remember that wedding is just one day only. What's more important is the relationship with your husband and do not let the marriage start on a negative mood with large debts and all. Now is the time where there is no harm to be penny pinching. As for bridal studios, its all about their fantastic marketing/advertising/ economics knowledge that helps them to sell packages faster.
