Hi all, just wanna share with you all about this new MUA, Mawaki. After my wedding i started doing wedding planning and some of my brides used him, they all looked so natural yet amazingly beautiful! his makeup stays well and he is a very easy going person to work with.

One bride was going overseas for her wedding and had Mawaki to give her intensive makeup lesson, totally customized so that she can apply her own makeup, rather than using the local MUA whose skills she doesnt know, and better than flying MUA over.

I have been recommending him to my girlfriends who are getting married, all who used him totally transformed into a gorgeous beauty. i dunno how he does it, bride looks very natural but the effect is there.

His email is [email protected] if you wanna try, highly recommended!
better to book early because popular dates are filling up fast.
I am considering of taking up his personalized makeup lesson too.... ;)

Hi Jolene, I am not too sure about the price, it's best to email him directly...

So far all the brides, the bride's mums, bride's MILs, bridesmaids all turned super pretty with his makeup, so I think it's great to learn the skill!!

penguinavalanch, if I am not wrong, it starts from $700 for the AD.

Hi mimichan and Dolphine, I recently had Mawaki-san do my makeup for my wedding.
Initially I was going to use my bridal studio package MUA, because it was part of the package.
but after the final trial with that studio MUA, I didn't like the very thick, "old" look that is very common with the local chinese-speaking MUAs here.. not natural at all.

I used Mawaki-san for my pre-wedding shoot, and he was really good so I asked him if he was available, and he was so nice to agree to do even though it was so last minute.
He gave me trial on the day I called. He also gave me skincare tips so that my complexion will be good on my AD.
I was super stressed about this last minute change but he assured me everything will be ok and he was really encouraging.
He did such an amazing job that my mom, my MIL, aunties and all my girlfriends kept raving on how beautiful I looked and how natural my makeup was.
My gf who is getting married decided to use him too after she came to my wedding :p

His English is not so good but he was very gentle and helpful (and very polite!!) so I didn't have any problem.
He saw my gowns and my face and he knew what kind of look will suit me.
I was so happy that day, I kept smiling all the way and I didn't want to remove my makeup!! (I still looked fresh and pretty even when the banquet was over...his makeup is very long lasting I must say)

My colleagues and I are thinking of signing up with his makeup lesson when I return from my honeymoon! hehe.

I understand from him that he do not provide the headpiece, did you bought on your own or you got fresh flowers instead?
