The play of white and grey in this kitchen, paired with clean lines makes this minimalist looking space easy on the eyes. Sculptural lighting inject a little interest to the interior, contrasting the simple look.

Extending the bathroom by having the sink outside the toilet not only allow a more spacious bathroom space but also improves functionality by allowing the owner to do light usage (washing face, brushing teeth, etc.) at the sink area when the toilet is being used.

And this is how the sink area looks like from this view. Keeping the design simple and sleek, prevents the space from looking cluttered. Plus, we used glass doors to help light stream in so you could always get ready, in bright natural light.

Mix textures and materials of different nature to keep the interior interesting and not one-dimensional. Pair that with contrasting colours, to add depth to the space.

Clinical in white, and yet still pleasing to the eyes with the addition of warm wood. Sometimes, practising restrain in home design always brings about the most effective solution.

How would you feel waking up on a Sunday to a kitchen like this? Where the kids can look at you preparing breakfast, and you watch them play in the living room while cleaning the kitchen. Open concept kitchen, is the best way to bring family together!

Oh, how we love the look of marble in the toilet! Luxe, and airy, simple and yet so classy! The addition of wood breaks the look, and help impart warmth in the space.

Neutral palettes are not just restricted to black, white and grey. The likes of taupe, sand and beige with warm undertones are another alternative that we can consider when selecting colour palettes. It is easy on the eyes, and match almost everything!

Simple details but BIG difference! Applying the same colour scheme and shape on the blinds and louvred toilet door keeps the design uniform. Storage space with build-in TV console keeps the master bedroom neat and perfect, just like the hotel!

If you are not a heavy cooker, a simple kitchen design and layout like this would probably work well for you. The dark backsplash contrasted with the grey cabinet nicely while adding dimension in the space. We kept everything in solid colour to allow the patterned tiles on the floor be the main feature.

The placement of herringbone flooring creates a very strong statement in every interior. We kept the rest of the design muted and allow the patterned floor to shine through!

A throwback picture of one of past project where the spacious living room was segregated by only a clear glass sliding door, giving home owners option to slide it open when entertaining, or slide it close when some privacy is required.

Wood is the easiest way to warm up a space. Here, the visible grains of the wood provides a visual interest to this space, while the usage of neutrals like white and beige help to control the look so that it does not overwhelm.

Don’t you love how breezy and effortless an open concept kitchen is in a BTO layout? Everything looks a lot brighter, and alot bigger! Further amplify that sense of space by using a full height mirror and white!

Every space with wall could be a space for storage. Double up the function and make it into an aesthetic aspect of your home by providing space to place decorative items too!

An open concept study room, with accordion door gives homeowner the flexibility to cut off noise when at work by closing the door, and can be kept opened when not. Customised study desk also meant that the carpentary selection can be made with the same materials as the rest of the space, creating a unified home.

Colours! Having colours in interiors can provide you with a little bit of whimsy and fun. Selecting colours like this subtle sage green does not overwhelm the space and goes easy on the eyes.

Another throwback to @bobmubarak’s unique bedroom set up. The flow from the wardrobe to the chest of drawer, which double up as a headboard provide the room with many functional spaces. Keeping everything in muted tones, the punch of yellow from the pendant light creates an interesting contrast to this masterbedroom.

Wouldn’t black be too dark? Not if you contrast it light flooring to balance the starkness of black. The wood grain in the carpentary works as a midtone, allowing a soft transition from light to dark.

Terrazzo flooring made a comeback! Pairing this unique flooring with solid white cabinets, and accent it with a touch of gold handle makes this kitchen look so welcoming and spacious. Design were kept simple so that the details on the terrazzo floor stands out.

The simplicity of this kitchen focuses on functionality and providing adequate storage for the home owner. The black and white contrast lends a sleek and clean finish to the space.

Another completed project! We used white, and different kind of grainy woods to create this cosy home. The huge island that double up as storage as well as eating area is perfect for HDB home layout these days!

This toilet combines functionality with aesthetics using marble wall tiles to complement the light oak carpentary. A burst of black with the shower screen frame and accessories give the toilet an additional “oomph!”.

Loving this completed project so much! The open concept study area with accordion door creates a spacious feel to this interior. We treated the different areas in this home as one space by using the same materials for carpentary, so that the design appears seamless.

A typical BTO kitchen layout would probably allow the same or similar design to be implemented. However, when used with different materials and patterns, the same design layout would end up looking vastly different and exude a completely different feel.

Nothing could beat the spaciousness that an open concept space could offer. The interior looks bigger, the home is airier, well lit and well ventilated. Plus, it is conducive set up for socialising with guests.

Grey, beige and taupe is like the perfect union of neutrals in one home. Easy on the eyes, these colour scheme would withstand the test of time and will always remain timeless!

A built-in bench, is always a good idea! You can use the bench as storage as well, apart from it being a space-saving solution since it is being tucked in all the way to the wall. Plus, add mirror above it to add the illusion of space.

Optimising the space that we have includes building a full-height shoe cabinet and increase storage space. To optimise functionality is to create an open shelving to place frequently used shoes for easy access.

Tid Plus Design

To increase storage, make use of the niche under the window for cabinets where you can stow away knicks and knacks. Not restricted to shelvings, you can also consider drawers to maximise functionality.

Colours play an integral part of design. Here, you would noticed how the deep and dark grey cabinet imparts a luxe and cosy feel to the kitchen while the warm and woody tones creates an inviting and spacious feel to the interior.

The lightness of this kitchen in oak and grey is given an interesting twist with the use of hexagonal floor tiles. The uniqueness of the tiles is further amplified with the pretty patterns and arranging them not uniformly.

Is it possible to have ample storage and a study table in one place? YES! With proper space planning, a bedroom can have multi functional roles without compromising the comfort of the homeowners!

Shaker style cabinet with patterned floor would always give a country vibe to the kitchen! Balance this visual with minimal and yet modern accessories, to create a balance in the look of the space.

Crisp lines, and neutral colour blockings would create a timeless interior that is timeless and relevant for years to come. Here, the monotonous palette and simplistic approach to the design exudes a masculine feel to this master room.

Over the next few days, we are going to show you a series of 3D renditions of @aanurul #abodenssss. This is the staircase area, which comes with a low console for guests to sit, and double up as a storage space. We went with black powder coated handrail for the staircase to create a contrast in this neutral palette home.

Of course, we will not forget to wish all Singaporeans a Happy National Day! 54 years of independence, and building a nation that is prosperous and safe for every Singaporean for many generations to come! Have a good celebration everyone!

Continuing with the 3D rendition of @aanurul #abodenssss, we are showing the proposal for her dining area. Attached to the island, is a customised 2.4m dining table that would sit six comfortably. The island is attached with a sink for easy access to clean the hands; but washing dishes...? It will be at the wet kitchen area behind.

The entrance of the home is one of the most important part of design as it sets the tone of what you would expect inside. The living room is kept open with the accordion door to further increase the sense of space at @aanurul #abodenssss! A floating shoe cabinet flanked the other side so that washing of the foyer can be done easily as we gave space under the cabinet.

We now take you to the upper floors of @aanurul #abodenssss where the three bedrooms are. This is the master bedroom where we work with an equal balance of white and taupe for that scandinavian feel. We wanted a design that looks relax, cosy and as always, timeless!

Near the level two of the stairs at @aanurul #abodenssss, is where an open concept study room is situated. Open concept, because we do not want the claustrophobic feel to this level which already housed three bedrooms. The sliding door can be tucked away all the way to the end, to expose the whole study, and be closed fully for sound privacy.

Taking you a level higher would bring you to @aanurul walk-in wardrobe. A mixture of open concept and with doors, allow you to arrange clothing based on its usage. Accesible pieces at the open one, and seasonal clothes at the closed door. Plus, facing the window with natural light is always perfect for makeup!

Of couse, it doesn’t hurt to have an island sprawling in the centre of the walk-in wardrobe to display accessories! Mirrored doors are also functional in narrow spaces to reflect light, and be used to check our reflection after dressing up. #abodenssss @aanurul

How was your weekend? We hope it was awesome! Here’s the view of @aanurul wet kitchen. Galley style, and all white to maximize the amount of light that they could get from the yard into the kitchen. Sleek and contemporary!

Behind @aanurul white kitchen, lies the common toilet on the ground floor. With narrow toilet, selecting light colours in neutral palette is good to create an impression of a bigger interior. The wood looking tiles against the rawness of grey looks perfect in here!

There’s three toilets in the lovely home of @aanurul #abodenssss. This is the toilet in the master bedroom. Using marble tiles, and grey wood grain tiles as a gentle contrast, this almost all-white toilet is definitely pleasing to the eyes! p/s: maintenance is a little higher but light weekly washing sure do help keep white toilets looking pristine!

Sometimes, keeping things simple is the best way to go. Clean lines with focus on functionality makes toilet maintenance a lot easier. The usage of big tiles also creates an impression of a bigger toilet. And that pendant light? Oh wells, a lil’ touch of whimsy never hurts! Today, our Instagram hits 40,000 followers too! THANK YOU!!!
