Hi Girls, what is the max no of guests the Ginger Rm can accomodate? Only been to view the Grand Ballroom and the pics above look very beautiful with the huge trees in the backdrop. Also understand that its impossible to get corkage waiver. Could someone pls share what perks they managed to get from Kendy? If any at all.. like free wedding cards?? Thanks

Hi Rabs,
I booked mine with Kendy and the only thing i managed to squeeze from her is waiver of 8 bottles of wine.

I intend to get my own..

thanks kanchi and raine! has anyone done their purchase of wedding cards yet? any idea how much do you think we should budget on average for them? and also where to get them?

Hi, Charlyn:
The inhouse florist is free (included in the package). The package only includes: 01 center piece per table, 01 piece on reception table, 02 standing. As for the outdoor florist, it cost me $150 for extra flower decoration on the staircase and scattering on the grassland.

Hi Ladies,

Care for a FH to join in the thread.

Was looking for something different and Beaufort came to my mind for a Wedding Venue.

As the price range is rather steep and I am looking at cutting down the guest list and go for a better wedding setting.

Looking at the pictures, the places is very nice. My FW will like the romantic setting.

Does any ladies here got the latest pricellist

I am looking at holding my AD on Sept 08 (Somewhere around there)

Still waiting for my Toa Payoh Flat to be ready.. Very hard to decide on the date.

If can email me their wedding Pics will be nice. At least I can convince my FW on the place.

She has the liking for Rasa, the wedding by the beach setting from her past colleagues wedding really sets in her mind.

My Email : [email protected]

hi adrian, you can go to their website to view the price and wedding package details.

actually beaufort is quite different from rasa... it has a garden setting (even though it faces the sea, but you don't really feel the "sea-beachy" feeling when you're so small and surrounded by all the large trees and shrubs). rasa on the other hand has a beach setting.

think the numerous pictures Rings has kindly shared above can give a pretty good idea of what it'd look like.

why not bring your FW to The Cliff for dinner one day and check out the entire resort setting?? at least she'd get to spend enough time to feel the place.

Hi stickymouse,

Thanks for the sugestion. Beaufort ballroom is too small for our needs. We are intending for a 30 table banquet with option to go more.

Currently, Fullerton, Ritz, conrad and four season are in my view also.. rather expensive.

As I was looking for an outdoor solemnisation with a chrisitian setting with close friends then proceed to the dinner with the friends and relatives. Those who dont really like chrisitan type of ROM.

Need to hunt again liao.. Haiz.

Rings(kanchi) - the settings look lovely! exactly the kind of feel that we are looking for (plus a jazz band and a magician to entertain the adults and kids respectively!)

got a question that would have required the detailed attention of a Sentosa Resort bride. i've got my holy matrimony march-in song. my question is...

does anyone know (remember) how many steps there are in the L-shaped staircase leading to the garden? i know the bottom flight has 13 steps... it's important to me 'cos i need perfect timing for my music piece....

hi gals..

I just went back to The Sentosa for my anniversary stay last weekend.. memories of my wedding was still vivid in my mind.. it was a beautiful event for hubby and I.. We had no regrets for choosing this hotel even though we forked out alot of extras for this wedding.. so go with your heart and remember it's once of a lifetime.. you would not want to look back and regret that you could have done it better..

We had a lovely upgrade to the deluxe suite room which is exactly what we had on our wedding day though it was not the same room..

for those who are interested in the newly renovated villas, do go for it! Hubby and I went to the villas to have a look and it was great! The bathrooms were really spacious and luxurious.. Nice!! Too bad they were not available for my wedding the other time.. it's good alternative for those who wants to hold their ROM on the same day as their AD.. other than ginger terrace..

Have fun preparing your wedding gals!

I went to meet up with Kendy today and i quite like the ginger room and the garden lawn outside. Thinking of holding my solemnisation there with dinner.

May I know how is the service over there? Will there be someone attached to you to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day of the wedding?

Did anyone get to go for food tasting for the Solemnization package? cuz she mentioned no food tasting..

Hi everybody, I'm new to this thread and I'm a BTB at Sentosa too...My AD is set on 22nd Dec at the Grand Salon (that's the bigger one right?) which means I'll most likely see you that day Jmi! ;) Are you using the terrace or the lawn? Or can we use both? :p *greedy me* Any ideas abt the decoration? I'm still undecided yet...the florist Kendy told me about is a different one tho...Secret Garden in the Central...not harbourfront or marina sq. Anyone wanna share details of their prep with me please?

To Midori:
You can contact Kendy with everything before the actual day.
Then, there will be in-charge staff on actual day.
Service is good, no need worry.

The lawn does not come free. It costs another $1.5k to book it. No refund if it rains.
Food is not one of The Sentosa's strong points. At least not the chinese menu.
Kendy is the only wedding "planner" there is. But I feel she functions more like a wedding "secretary". Somewhat passive, short answers. With many of the details, you have to have thought of it yourself and ask her directly otherwise it doesn't come out at all.

hi zesty

ooohh...you're having your wedding at The Grand Salon after my lunch? Cool. I'm still deciding on on floral arrangements now. Wanna exchange ideas or see how we can perhaps share? Email me can? [email protected]

Hi,

Can someone share with me the quality of the food there. Which package did you take? Is the food portion small or big?

Thanks

I just signed with The Sentosa Spa and Resort. Will be having my solemnization there..

How soon in advance do we have to confirm the menu and florist? Will Kendy guide us on what to do?

kanchi

as for food, I even changed one dish just 1 week in advance, due to some reason. Anyway, I think the early, the better, for the convenience of
as for the florist, at least 2 weeks in advance, as I suggest. They should have time to prepare.

Hi Rings,
oops sorry! just saw frm ur earlier posts that u chose beaufort's official florist at Harbourfront.

any other ladies chose secret garden?
Beaufort just engaged them.. they are more upmarket as compared to the one at Harbour front..

i met up with both.. the feeling that i get frm the florist at harbour front is that she is more accomodating.. just not too sure how it will turn out to be cuz i have a less common wedding color theme..

secret garden more ex and less accomodating.. but somehow i feel that they might be able to generate the results i want.. hmmm.. how?

Hi, daisygal:
Regarding the lawn, you may take a look at my previous post with photos in actural day. I think it could support 50-60pax, since most of my guests (total 70 pax) were standing at the lawn, when we were cutting the cake.
