i hear so much gd stuff abt TG, comtemplating whether to get TG or not.. heard he's quite ex too..

Can I double check with you what the package of 3388 consists of:
OTR WG
MTM men suit (is it a business suit? Wat r the additional charges for a tux?)
3 make up
flowers and car decoration and corsages?
If I include an OTR EG, it will be 3388+680
and MTM EG will be 3388+980?
Is the EG for keeps or to rent?

I have not signed up yet. I was quoted 4288 for the same package including the MTM EG n will need a top up of 800 for e tulle WG. I was hoping for the package to be slightly cheaper. =P Sil will be having a wedding show on 25th july at grand copthorne waterfront. Hopefully they will have some promotional price then.

Dionne: normally u will need to top up $800 for a tulle gown if you are taking up their package.
bebelee: @ Stamford was with Rebecca & Selina @ Amoy. I do wonder if there will be a price hike on the package offered during the wedding show, coz notice that their price had went up just over this year.

Jovanka: yup, end up i sign up at amoy because i heard many gd reviews abt kenji and i wanted him to be my designer.
u have not decided on sil yet?
i was attended by Selina when i visited Stamford branch but prefers kenji @ amoy.

cocotintin:I'm down to deciding btw Amoy or Stamford branch now. Like u I hear much rave abt kenji,hence I'm more inclined to Amoy. But I saw a gown that caught my attention in Stamford br yesterday. Wonder if I can get them to transfer to Amoy if I do sign up there. Anyway I'm going to meet kenji tml so see how it goes.

Jovanka: if i'm not wrong i think u can get them to transfer a gown u saw at stamford house to amoy branch. But u need to be able to tell kenji specifically which gown you are eyeing. Do u have a pic of it? they have gowns of similar designs in a few pieces so they might even have what you want at amoy street just that it is not on the rack. they do have more gowns (older gowns maybe) in the store/warehouse.

cocotintin: it will be my 2nd visit to Amoy this evening. Good to hear that we can transfer gown, will ask Kenji later. No pic of the gown I like but offhand should be able to describe coz the top is bare.
Oh i did not know that they have more gowns @ Amoy, as I only see abt 2 - 3 racks of gown on my 1st visit.

Jovanka: what do u mean by the top is bare? does the gown u saw plain or with lace with beadings etc?
I have not made my gown yet and i am going to mtm the top part of my gown. still doing research on the design. so tiring to do all the research work etc.

I am also a SIL bride. May i know which type of gown are you going for? SIL really do have a lot of pretty gowns. I have choosen a simple & nice OTR lace gown and MTM EG. Both gowns are nice but then recently i realized that both my gowns are very smilar to my friend's one..sigh..I am feeling down and worry now..does any brides here encounter this problem before? I am headache now, not sure if i should stay on with my gown design or to change it..

phyu:i have ever seen similar gown designs by Sil worn by someone in her photoshoot and the gown was on the rack when i was there. Maybe you can consider modifying your gown by adding some details like beads or crystals to make it more personalise.

cocotintin: Opps i don't mean bare haha..its a plain satin top with just slight gather at the top area. Think thats ideal coz I can just add on a little crystals or beads to my liking. Personally I prefer the top to be more simple & clean.

cocotintin: i chose something with glitter.. but my bf prefer the sequins haha..anyway my choice of WG is not fixed yet. Will decide btw the transfer gowns or another new one that kenji is doing up for the wedding show. maybe if you had not chosen yrs can also take a look at those new designs. I actually prefer off-white coz im worried that ivory looks too yellow on me.
AD will be on 12 June 2011.. U? took the Amoy promo package with mtm EG (rental)..that will ease some cost off.LOL~

Thanks for you advise. The gown is not exactly the same, but the design and cutting is the same, just that the colour & lace print are different..My AD is pretty near arleady, this coming Oct.

Jovanka: yeah its really a load off after signing up with sil. my AD will be on 24 Jul 2011. wait till i go for my measurements in aug then i will see if he has got any new designs or not but im really certain i wld like the design i pick previously. My hubby also like the tulle with glitters, i think guys think pretty much the same, they like something more obvious. haha..

I'm doing my PS in Dec maybe.. see if both hubby and my schedule allows. Need to pray that the weather will be good too.

Yup MIL went to calculate the date. Haha. Mine is at st regis. And guess what! I will be having my solemnisation at the function room followed by lunch at the ballroom. We do haf many things in common.
After i sign the sil package, looks like they will be very busy on 12th june 2011.

Hi everyone, i'm now a Sil bride! big load off my chest to finally decide on the gown! took otr WG n likely to source EG from elsewhere
Shanawawa- their tulle gowns are nicer than those at wedding present, Amanda Lee, La vie. the material that they used is softer. the overall workmanship is better compared to wedding present.

I have book a gown at vera wang as my EG, waiting for it to arrive sometime in Nov. I already saw something i like so end up i didnt take up the EG with Sil, furthermore im not taking sil package so not worth it in terms of cost.
