hi amy, i think what makes me really puzzled is the fact that the email wasn't personalized? it's obviously a mass email. perhaps that's why she was careless in including your email inside. has she gotten back to you?
perhaps you can now "bargain" for better deals with her?

Yes, email definitely was not personalised. She replied saying she forgot to take us out of the database. OMG!

Hi everyone,

I have signed with ST and I am pleased with Benedicte's service. Any BTB who has signed with ST too? My AD is near June 2010. I am also doing the solemnization at waterfall. Hope more ST BTB will chat in this thread.

Yes I'm a ST bride too! My AD is 22 May 2010! Michele Tan was the one who attended to us, she seems rather nice & easy to negotiate with too!

Hey MJM! When is your wedding?

Well, I wanted to get the 3rd barrel of beer free in exchange for lesser bottles of wine but not possible unfortunately. We got a nett price instead on the 3rd barrel.

Other than that, cos we wanted sash for all the chairs on all the tables, so we negotiated a fixed nett price for X no. of chairs.

The rests are fixed in the package like corkage waiver, 2 nites stay, 2 free barrel of beer & complimentary wine, 2008 price...etc

Did you managed to negotiate for other things too?

seriously got 2008 price? we had to pay the 2010 price leh. how
much is your per table then? ours is 1188 for saturday.

seems like you got a good deal. however, we were told that there is no extra surcharge for the sashes on chairs.

ya there is no extra surcharge for the sash on the VIP table but if we want it on all the tables... then we have to pay for the other table's sash...

eh our coordinator said no problem if all chairs have sash. did not mention any extra surcharge. think you should check again.

think we paid the same price. are you doing your solemnization also?

I have signed up with ST last year and our wedding dinner date is drawing near. I also realised their follow up and response are not prompt and they are quite rigid in a way.
I am very worried. Any idea whos the senior management person to feedback? really hope to see a good change in their service and food, as I know ST used to be very reputable for it.

like to check with sheraton brides, as u all know the ballroom is a "L" shape ballroom, and the long march-in is from the longer side, that's mean the shorter side wouldn't be able to see your full march-in until nearer to the stage. ( I hope u all know what i meant). do anyone of you know if they have live-feed or something to project your march-in on screen?

Yes, know exactly what you mean, yes, we are requesting for the LiveFeed, but the hotel coordinator did remind us that their video may not be clear enough....

Thus, we are bringing a video cam to hook up, just in case...

Hi All, I just had my wedding at Sheraton Towers last week. It was quite successful. Everyone said the food was nice. The L-shape was not a problem and everyone had a good view of the stage. The lights at the stage also makes a good backdrop.

I opted for the short walk in. No video, the walk in is less than a minute, so no point having a video just for that.

I had live photography though, which I highly recommend for the ballroom as the screen is huge for the main side with 2 smaller screens for the other side. All the guests were very impressed with the live projection of photos. http://livestudios.sg/

I would post some pictures up, but I haven't had time to load them up yet. I'll post them when I have time.

Cos my coordinator - Michele Tan, will be leaving Sheraton soon.

i have, my previous coordinator left as well.. so i was transfered to valerie. She's a nice person, quite accomodating and flexible.

I just feel that there is a need for me to share my experience with ST .

the same substandard service offered by Unhappie's coordinator .

What MORE can i Comment?...
1)Slow in follow upS...Several reminders /chasers needed to be sent.

2)Follow ups were slip shod WITH no alternatives given.

3)Weak Product knowledge. She can hardly quote me the promotions given by her company.

4)Basically everything i requested for is a BIG No. No compromise, no resolutions.

I am considering to have her changed and will urge anyone that have her as coordinator to do the same.

So much for a not so 5*service in a 5*hotel.

I had also signed up with Sheraton for my wedding next year June. But my no. of pax less than 144 so will be using the Topaz room. Has anyone done their wedding in this room? A little concern about the short march in.

I also intend to do the solemisation at the poolside. Anyone mind to share their experience on this?

Hi all, I just had mine at Sheraton too... I was pissed off by by coordinator too!
ChineseGirl, I have a feeling we share the same coordinator! cos wat u went thru are exactly wat i went thru! sucks!
the only thing i'm happy with is the guy who run the show dat nite...
1) Emails not replied
2) DID always divert to voice mail
3) Left messages but no return call
4) we have to check and chase and (like begging) to meet up for discussion on details
5) When we finally got hold of her, she sounded very pissed off!
6) Her assistant can not do anything for us, everything have to wait for coordinator to decide
7) we ask for special rpice to extend another nite stay at suite, special price quoted was S$550++, I can stay in Ritz Suite!
We had frens engaged wif other hotels, their coordinators are the ones who advice them time line...for us, we have to chase for everyting!
overall - Disappointed wif this 5 * hotel banquet!
but thankful to Muragan who run the show for us!

We didn't like the extreme short march in, so we requeted them to re-locate the stage at the left hand corner, then we march in from the second door. Initially, we wanted to march in from the most inner door so that we can march pass all the guests, but the man running the show dat nite suggested us to enter from the center door instead, so dat 2 tables of guests will not be blocked by the pillars.
Depend on your coordinator if she is willing to do this for u?
cos for us, we had to fight for it!

Sheraton shld give u the contacts of cards, printers and wine supppliers.
You go to America cards (if this is still in their list to u) to select the cards, but do ur printing wif T dragon(if this is still in their list to u), it is so much cheaper to print by T dragon then America card

Hi Jen,

Thanks for sharing. Btw, how many tables you are having? The coordinator had suggested us to have the stage shifted to the right side and march in from the extreme left door. However, 2 concerns: no. of tables have to be keep at 10 and there is no wall paper for the stage. How is the stage decor for yours? Mind to send me some of your pics? Thank you very much.

My hubby just got the tot of shifing the stage from the center to the extreme right and dat we will march in from exteme left which ur coordinator suggested to you.
But during the rehersal, the captain is concerned that if we were to do that, 2 tables will be totally blocked by the pillars, so he suggested us to march in from the center door instead of the extreme left.
honestly, it was abit squeezy for both to walk thru the chairs...esp wif ur day gown :p
I have not got my AD fotos yet :p
