Separate ROM and wedding reception

I am going to have my solumization at ROM this year and then the wedding reception next year. My fiance is foreign so we want to ROM asap so he can apply for LTVP to stay and find work in sg.
We just want a simple tea ceremony and dinner reception next year but I'm wondering how the flow of events should be for the "actual day" next year and if any of you have an "itinerary" to share. We do not really want to give speeches at the dinner so need ideas how to enter and transition to the meal since no solumnization to take up the time....Is it weird to just walk in and sit down at our table immediately? Haha

First of all, does your wedding have any traditional ceremony that needed to be done? Or any religion ceremony. All those can be part of the itinerary.

Nope... but worse still, my mum wants me to wear a proper wedding gown at the dinner next year so its not going to be so "simple" anymore
