Did my solemnization at SMC poolside in the evening. The service provided by the staff was very good throughout. Everything went smoothly.

Piggylove: Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been checking the forum. I had a dinner there post-solemnization at the Blue Potato (which is just round the corner next to the pool) but not at the Ellenborough Cafe which I think was too noisy. The Blue Potato was more private (not much customers and they put us at a corner) and the waiting staff were very attentive - excellent service! Went for a customized Western menu so that we can have a sit-down and relaxed dinner. The food was good and I found out later that the Blue Potato had some Tatler Dining Award. And yes, they did provide some complimentary parking.

Ahber: I don't know about the food at Ellenborough but the food they provided for my dinner at Blue Potato was very good. Maybe you can PM me your email. I can send you some pics - tell me what things you are looking out for?

hi andrina,
you had your soleminzation at the pool side? I am kinda curious abt their decoration and how the cafe would look like.. You get to choose between Blue Potato and Ellenborough cafe? Cos i receive is only for the ellenborough cafe, so its noisy i will probably not choose it..

my email is [email protected]
Thank you so much!

i chose cafe cos prices are lower. They gave mi a area for 55 guests.

Blue potato is by ala carte prices. Kinda ex for rom

yup...blue potato is pricier but is more private. It's a good place to have dinner and mingle. I got them to customize a set menu with 2 choices of main courses for me so it's fixed price per head.

hi ahber,

i chose the market cafe dinner buffet. The spread was good and it's value for money.
My guests enjoyed themselves

I spent ard 3K in total for the solemnization for 20 guests. They included the cost of the pavilion rental cum dinner and I had a one night stay as well with complimentary parking for the guests.

piggylove: they didn't give any wedding favours for the ROM but I had my weddding banquet on the following day with them.

andrina - 3k for 20pax? I did my sum, for 30pax is abt 3k including a room.. you choose which package can i know? I calculated based on garden on love package.

andrina, did they offer you the free room stay because you held their banquet with them? Because i met up with them yesterday, they refuse to throw in the free night stay for me.. I have 30 guests..

Nope..

i am thinking of taking the package - garden of love.. There is another package with the free night stay, but requires at least 50 guests which is too much for me..

hmmm...if you really want a night there, maybe you can ask them to give you a special rate? It's nice to have a room to commemorate the special occasion. Or they may have some weekend staycation thing which you can book? No point trying to hit 50 guests just for a room.

nope, they refuse to.. Insist that i get the room either at their special rate or take the one with the 50 pax package.. so now i turning to other options as well..
