Hi all, I am 2017 BTB and I just signed up with Rico two weeks ago. Any other Rico bride can share some experiences with me? I don't really know what to expect after signing the contract. Any MUA or photographer can recommend to me? Thanks.

Hi Hui Yi, thanks for replying. My AD is next year 30/4. How about you? My coordinate is Shin Yee. A lot of Rico bride recommend Fann, but I only know about it after I signed. Should do more homework before that! Haha but so far Shin Yee is okay. Are you doing pre wed shoot with them? I not sure when will I get to select my MUA. Shirley is good?

I am going for gown fitting this Sep :D by that time I will need to decide my MUA right? I love their latest garden series gown Which photographer is going to take your pre wed?

I got mily as my MUA and vaness as photographer! My friend got ben but she said he was alright only.. Shirley's not too bad as MUA I heard, quite natural

Milly make up skills is good, very natural type. I had vaness too for my pre wedding shoot, I think he is very good.

How come your friend say Ben was alright only? His photography style not what your friend want? Do we need to prepare anything for the pre wedding shoot (such as props or any other thing)?

U will have to prepare your own props. They only give basic like flowers... In studio also very very basic, like at nice background, chairs that type.

Oh really? I thought they will try to provide props to suit the feel that we want for the pre-wedding shoot. omg. So I got another thing to do now,to sort out props for the shoot. :(
How many indoor and how many outdoor spot that you choose for your wedding shoot? I know there is additional top up if we want MUA to tag along for outdoor shoot, but I worry indoor shoot the photo come out will looks boring.

I will suggest that you call your sales person at Rico and asked her to help you reserved milly asap. Don't wait for the sales person to call you, as they have a lot of brides on hand and sometimes they will just provide the basic service. You can also call them for gown appointment depends on when you want it, not necessary wait for them to call you.
The moment I signed up I want to book milly for my actual day but she already taken. That was almost like 10 months in advance. I saw milly work before, so I all along in my mind I already want her.
Rico and digio are sister boutique, so they 'share' all these photographers and make up artiste. Also these make up artiste and photographers also have their own customers outside. So I will advice to be more kiasu based on my own experience ：）

The props are very basic type. If you want balloons or those Instagram worthy type of props, u have to bring it yourself. I took 3 outdoor and 1 indoor. Yah there is an additional I think $120, I cannot remember, if you want a MUA to follow you. But I tell u it's really worth it. She can help u change your gown and re do your hair for the outdoor shoot. The bridal gown usually quite complicated so it's difficult for inexperienced people like us to wear it properly.
My outdoor shoot more lively and my indoor shoot was formal type. It's a different ”feel" but not boring. So you don't have to worry

Agreed! It's totally worth it for Milly to come along. She even takes great photos on her phone..! Haha! When we went to a cafe, she sourced a electrical point and re-did my hair full of big curls.

Super thankful I got her for my AD in Sept..!!

I guess she didn't like the framing of the photos and how it turned out but I've got friends who used Ben and they said he was not bad so maybe sometimes it might be a case of lack of chemistry? Haha

Wah I better make sure I call to chope milly to follow me for my shoot cos I don't plan to have any indoor shoots at all!

Haha true true. Once in a lifetime. I think they quote me $280 also, same as you. Did you top up for additional poses after the photoshoot? Haha. I think my package has 35 photo, not sure is it enough. So excited! :)

Woah. So excited for you girls. I haven't set my gown fitting date yet. Still trying to lose a bit more weight Is it better to choose a weekday for gown fitting? I can foresee I will need to spend couple of hours over there for being indecisive which gown I want to wear for actual day.

I was asked to take a weekday slot so it wouldn't be too crowded! Think I might have to go 2 rounds for photo shoot gown first then actual day another time..

Is that mean you have different gowns for pre wedding shoot and actual day? Haha. In my package both using the same gowns. So they told me I have to choose the actual day gowns before pre wedding shoot since I will be wearing it for both event. Try gown is tiring but their gowns so nice! Definitely will have hard time choosing "the one"

I have 4 gowns for pre wedding shoot, which 2 of the 4 I have to wear on my actual day also. Which means I won't be able to choose other gowns for AD. What I choose for pre wedding will determine what I wear on AD :(

Wow 4 gowns for prewedding? I'm thinking of just using 3 but a bit kiasu feel like getting 1 more.. but that would incur more costs

Ya mine is different.. But I'm super indecisive so I'm gonna end up spending damn long. My friend took like 5 hours!!

Hahaha I just finished choosing my gowns ystd and I spent like almost 6 hours before leaving. But gotta say my coordinator was really good with recommending gowns for me.

Wah! 6 hours! Oh my.. Haha. I just booked my date. It's in October. Pretty excited though. But I cannot imagine to spend such a long time to choose 4 gowns. >.<

Wow. How's your photoshoot experience? I just went to choose my gown yesterday but I still haven't decide where exactly to shoot next month. I spent three and half hour to choose 4 gowns! Now I keep thinking what props I need to prepare for my shoot...

Bring a fan! And make sure you have water. I wouldn't have known what to do without it haha. And getting MUA to follow is rly the best choice cos they can help with so much.
