Hi Hi

It has been quite quiet for this thread. Anyone mind sharing the pics at RM?

My AD is on Nov at Bistro, plan to go for the food sample on Sept. Anyone mind suggests which type of food is nice?

Hi All,

I'm new at this thread.... Shortlisted Raffles Marina as one of the top 2 choices for my solemnisation and AD. Was wondering how's the over food, service and ambience like?

Pls share your views because i'm really having a tough time deciding which place to hold my AD.

Thanks so much!

Cheers!

Hi Jennifer

Thanks for your help and congrats. I would like to view your photo when is ready. My AD is on 26 Nov so there is quite some times to prepare. Are you getting excited now...well I know yours is still two months away. Have you went to try the food sample? how is it?

Hi Stephanie,

very kind of you to share your photos. Would love to take a look at them. Can you pls email to me at [email protected]?

Thanks so much!

I'm planning for solemnisation followed by wedding dinner on the same day next yr. Wanted something different and outdoor. So my boyfriend and I are torn apart b/w RM and Rasa Sentosa.

I was told by the Coordinator of RM that I can do my solemnisation indoor at the atrium. Didnt know can have it outdoors...

Looking forward to take a look at your photographs!

=)

Hi Stephanie,

It would be great if you can email whatever photographs you have...=) Thanks!

I've set an appointment with the coordinator tp view the venue next week.... Heard so much about the yacht march in!!! Cant wait to view the venue! =)

My AD is also set in Nov but its 2007! Kinda worried to hold it outdoors since its yr end (rainy season)then it'll spoil everything isnt it?

Hope we'll be blessed with great weather and sunset! =)

Hi Stephanie

No problem. Had already went for my food tasting coz had it during my mum bday in Jun

I had comments for 5 dishes out of the 9 that im having for my wedding banquet maybe its coz my family members r a bit more picky towards food

Had already feed bk my comments to Joys n she sd they will take note for it during my AD dinner

Well, nt reali excited as compared to when initially while searching for the dinner n bridal shop etc. Dun kw y either maybe the excitement period is already over liaoz

Hi Jennifer

Glad to hear that you have went through your food sample. Am thinking of going in Mid Sept...still dunno what to decide on food, coz mine is on buffet style.

My coordinator is Margaret and she is a nice and experience lady. Hopefully she will give me some advice.

Ya, same here I don't have the excitement now..may be not approaching yet. Ha..

The preparation is still going on but not so rush lah, coz I already took the photo shooting, just waiting for the photo album now. Only left the bed. Still looking around

Hiya all..

Just wanted to comment that I had a great time during my outdoor wedding at RM too, so couples who picked that place, please rest assured
happy.gif

Of course being outdoors, weather can be the most worrying factor. I panicked the last week before the wedding and was looking at weather reports the whole time. But thankfully we had a great weather that day and was blessed with a beautiful sunset for my yacht 'sail'-in.

So all the best to you ladies who have picked RM as your wedding venue and i will cross my fingers for you and pray for good weather on your wedding day too.

Hi Aurorin & Edna

Glad to hear from both of you again.

Like to have a pc of advice from both of you.

a) I will do a march in for my solemnisation before the wedding dinner starts (abt 6:30pm)
b) Planning to have a Yacht march in at around 7pm
c) Another march in near the entrance of the Bistro after I get down from the yacht. I am thinking of including my parents and my parents-in-law to join in the march in.

Do you think there is too much march in for the first round. This have not include the 2nd march in...

Hi Stephanie,
r u referring to the march-in at the entrance of Bistro to include the parents?

if so, hmmm, think it may be kinda cluttered. i remembered the passageway to the platform was just enough for the both of us.

Hi Edna

What I have thought of is my parents-in-law to march in first, then follow by my parents and lastly is us.They will be seated once they march in and we will remain on stage.

Anyway, this is just my plan, have not confirm yet. So do you think I have too much march-in for the first round?

Hi Stephanie,
it's an unique idea to include the parents for the 1st march-in.

well, it's juz like some couples having page boys n flower girls. in place of children, u hv adults! keke...

Stephanie: I think it is a great idea to include your parents and parents-in-laws.. TT's really nice of you and i am sure they will be happy to join you and your husband-to-be in the march-in.

I've just finish my wedding on last sunday at RM bistro. Thank goodness the weather was ok for the evening. I had my march in into the bistro, across to the swimming pool area for my solemnisation.

Comments about the food was good! It's a pity we didn't eat that night cos we're kinda bloated and busy talking to our guests. Our guests appreciate the change of environment for a wedding. Luckily there is nice ambience and nice food, else the guests might not feel worthwhile coming all the way to tuas.

It was a fantastic night as we enjoyed ourselves alot.

Hi didally

Glad to hear that you have an enjoyable wedding nite and congratulation!!!

Care to share what type of food menu you have chosen? I will be going to my food sample on this coming Sun. Will need to decide the menu soon. Any advise for that?

Will it be too stuffy at that night? I am thinking to ask for more fan...

hi gals

just finished my wedding dinner at RM last Sat, 30/9

i must sd it was very disappointing

can u imagine that their chinese rest was serving my guest with cold food. 1 or 2 dish was okay but it was the entire course

i feel very nt worth it n a lot of cock-up frm their coordination side

i wld sd i wld nt encourage anybody to take on their ballrm package but if u r considering of their outdoor package, u can still consider

im currently still waiting for RM to give me a satisfactory reply on y they r serving my guest with cold dishes

hope some compensation will be made

Oh, stephanie, so sorry, didn't login earlier to see your post abt the food menu.

How was your food tasting? Which package did u choose? My food tasting session was good. Pretty satisfied. We were hoping the actual day food are just as good. Based on my guests' feedback, food is pretty good. =)

About the stuffy part, the weather that day is pretty ok. Thou a few guests did complain that it's a bit hot. But well, it's outdoors. But better than having it during the day.

Hello everyone!
I am thinking of doing outdoor wedding too. Thinking of Raffles Marina, republic yacht Club or sentosa. My sister had her wedding at Raffles Marina sometime back. I am looking for a good wedding coordinator from Raffles Marina side, the one that helped my sister left the club and join Republic Yacht club. Anybody can recommend from Raffles Marina?

I also think of the stuffy weather and have requested to have more fans on that time.

Hope everything will come out fine as yours.

Hi all,

I would be holding mine at the lawn Nov 07. Other than the weather I'm worried about the lighting at the lawn at night...when i last went there it was pretty dark. Comments anyone?
