Hi Ki Wi & Blue Mist

Ms Loke coordinated the deco at the foyer. I did not bring in any florist.

Thanks for your compliments on my photos. For the outdoor shooting, we went to Seletar Reservoir & Changi (Changi beach I think). I signed up with Golden Horse Awards-Tampines and we are very pleased with them especially my coordinator, Jesline. She designed both my WG & EG and those gowns which I used for outdoor shooting are also designed by her. For the black & white drawing, its actually an artwork based on the photo.

If anyone of you are still considering which BS to go to, I would recommend Golden Horse Awards-Tampines. Below are some of the main reasons why I signed up with them.

- better quality service compared to those which I received while searching which BS to sign up with;
- they have their own in-house photographers & make-up artists where I'm more assured of their standards compared to freelancers;
- all the coordinators are very friendly and they do listen to your views & opinions, etc.

Another main reason why I signed up with them is because of 2 albums, Indonesian real-life couple and Japanese model which are taken by the same photographer and is the one whom I requested to be my photographer as well.

The above are just my opinions. It will be good if you can go down and check it out yourself.

Hi Lindy Tan & ydnic,

U've got mails...hopefully can get thru' this time. 4warded 5 pixs for testing....hee..let me know if you still did not receive it.
Ydnic, I've sent it to your singnet a/c.

Hi Puay Kheng,

Thank you for sharing so much with us! My cousin was with Golden Horse Awards the other time and she was not really happy with their service, therefore I did not consider them as 1 of my BS but was glad to hear that you work along well with them! I think that very mucd depends on individual. Going anywhere for Honeymoon? hee...

Hi Mint_ocean

It all depends on the generosity of your friends & relatives and the cost of the banquet. For us, we need not come out with our money for the banquet.

We started the dinner at around 8.30 pm which I think is pretty early and it ended around 10.30pm. I keep reminding my in-laws to remind their friends & relatives to be early. I also reminded my friends & relatives to be early. Think because I held my solemnisation at 6.30 pm did play a part in having the guests to come in early. As for the buses, I heard that not many of our guests took. For the pick-up point, I chose Lakeside MRT and for the drop-off points, one bus to Lakeside MRT and another to Hougang as most of my relatives stay there. You may also like to remind your guests not to mistake RCC as RTC and end up turning up at the wrong wedding.

I just want to say that Ms Loke has been tremendously helpful to both my fh and me. Be it extra signages or helping us negotiate with the florist, she is ever ready to extend a hand. So, no matter what others have experienced, mine is certainly a happy one.

And I'm certain she is a great asset to RCC. Will certainly recommend pple there next time. My fh and I are really grateful to her for going that extra mile.

Hi Fion and Yulips,

Their packages ranges from $498+ to $638+. You may take a look at their promotion in the style wedding. Pretty good deal there....

Hi Blue Mist,

How's your soleminsation? Are you satisfy w their service?

Hi Tulipz,

There is no room in this club. You will be entitled to 1 nite stay at a 4 star hotel...eg..Pan Pac. Ms loke is quite flexible. You can always let her know your requirement and c if she can cater to it.

No worries, i am sure they are much more flexible than hotel banquets.

Hi, just signed up with RCC (ballroom)today. Indeed Ms Loke is very helpful. Find the package not bad.

She let me and my fh to try the food (just happen there is a wedding going on today) before we settle the deal.

Hi everyone,

I'm back! The solemnisation went beautifully... Ms Loke placed lots of flowers all round and even put up an arch for the event. It was really pretty
kao_smile.gif

It was quite windy at first and the fabric trellis put up by the florist became a little unstable... I was waiting in the changing room upstairs when my hubby called and asked if they could take it down... But I really really wanted it to be up for my walk-in... So I asked them to see if they could try and save it... Ms Loke was really great about it! She immediately got some of her staff to carry heavy potted plants in and weighed the stands down. In the end, everything was perfect when i walked in.
kao_clap.gif
Hee hee, i was only told of the humongous effort that went into saving 'my pretty fabric trellis' after the event
kao_wink.gif

The view was breathtaking and the decor was great! All in all, i'm really happy with the way the whole event turned out.

hi blue_mist,

Hi girl,

It depends on whether you do your event during the day or night... You have seen the day view from my photos? Pretty spectacular huh?
kao_biggrin.gif
The view from the restaurent is the same view, except that it is separated by glass window panels.

There is really not much of a view at night though... Cos it's all natural landscape, so no man-made lighting, can't see the lake or coconut trees at all...

The ambience of the restaurent is very chinese. So if you like that then it's good. If not, you can hold it downstairs at the foyer. The food served is chinese style, like cereal prawns, fried noodles, sweet and sour fish, etc. It's actually pretty good!

Hi all,
I just have my wedding done at Raffles Country Club foyer. Some comments, no offence...The waitresses employed by them are very lousy. Many cork ups. They will scold the customers if you attempt to pour the drinks yourself. Service is poor...and slow...No food menus...but the food portion quite big...enough for 10 persons...
Other than that Miss Loke is a very helpful manager but sometimes she tend to forget some details which...my parents were quite pissed off. Like the champagn by right we should open it ourself but in the end Miss Loke open it for us and pass it to us to pour.
At nite is quite warm...if filled with many ppl..
Just my 2cents worth.

Why no more discussion in this tread?? I saw RCC on tv two days ago. The scenery at lower foyer is really great! I've confirmed with Ms Loke today that I'm going to have my solemnization there. Just that not sure want to have the dinner inside the restaurant or at the lower foyer.
Anyone can share their experience or pictures at RCC? Or anyone going to have their wedding there also?

I just had my wedding there on 30 Sept. A beautiful place and a memorable wedding.
Miss Loke is a great helper and she makes everything went smoothly, and i don't even need to engage any emcee. All my guests were attracted by the scenery there at lower lounge. Shanshui Palace is strongly recommended!!

Hi,

May I know what is the difference between the ballroom and the shanshui palace? Which one is better? Any recommendations?

Hi angel65,
I've been to RCC recently. I think Shanshui palace is nicer, with the windows looking out to the lake, the interesting layout, as well as the raffles lounge for cocktail reception. But it also depends on ur liking. If possible, go down and have a look.

Hi,
I am torn between having Shanshui Palace or the Raffles Ballroom for our banquet. I will be having the foyer solemnisaton at the foyer, however was only given 5pm slot and dinner will commence at 7.30pm at Shanshui Palace if all guests are punctual. But i think that dinner will start at 8.30pm as some guests will be late. Hence, i am now thinking of changing the banquet venue to Raffles ballroom as then i can have the foyer soleminsation at 6.30pm. Can any kind soul send me the ballroom pictures? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Tree girl,

You got mail!

Hi Kate,

I got the same feeling as you initially. But I just went down to see the ballroom setting last sat. I feel that the ballroom deco is something very common that can be found in most venues. And mot really fantastic. The ceiling is low and the surrounding walls are those wooden colour one. Whereas the Shanshui Palace is something different as it is more like an indoor garden style, which i find it more unique. Thus, I have decided to choose the Shanshui Palace in the end. I did nt manage to take any pics that day cos we were too late and the banquet is starting soon, thus a bit pai seh to take pics. keke... Or perhaps you can check with Ms Loke to see when is the next wedding dinner that will be held at e ballroom. So when is ur AD?

Hi!
I'm having my dinner at shanshui too. kate, why not have the solemnisation at the 'balcony' outside the restuarant overlooking the lake instead of the foyer? Personally think the view from there is nicer. I'll be having my solemnisation at 6.30pm.
