Hi Bodhi & suelynn,
I love the classes alot...
every session i attend gave me great satisfaction....realy fully utilise the whole 1 hr focusing n working out....

my fav r Hot 1 (90mins) , Hot Hr (60mins)...these r both manageable at my level...cos i m new to yoga...

i find Hot flow very challenging....n Hatha is also very 'shiong' to me...kekeke

I love the place alot as well, nice shower rooms n overall very relax ambience...so shiok...

we can meet up for classes....

Bodhi, r u with Pure yoga?...

Hi Suelynn....

i m on 2 yrs...hehe

considered it for sometime before commiting myself...cos i dont wanna pay that extra $$$ every mth for 1yrs...

they have Hot 1 Mon - Fri at 715 sharp...normally i'll try to go for that or the 7pm classes....

the Hot classes r really shiok...so the 1st time u attend u might find giddy...but not to worry....its normal for 1st session...

I try to attend 3times on weekday...can be anyday...no specific days...depends on my work...but i love to go on Fri...to unwind after a long week...n sometime mid week...

u'll love the classes....

hi faith,

i tried their classes there before. Generally their standard are above average. But i still prefer "boutique" kind of yoga studio. Where the class is smaller and the teacher will adjust us one by one. I guess Mahendra has just joined Pure. You may consider to try out his class. He is one of good teacher in the Singapore yoga industry.

suelynn, thanks for your reply. i have tried their classes there b4. I'm just curious how many trial classes they give it out to potential member because most yoga studio charge a drop in rate.

You should join them quick before the studio get old and crowded.

I have just tried a class today at Bikram at City Hall. One of the best Hot Yoga class in Singapore. They follow staightly on Bikram 26 postures. But their rate is quite high.

getfit,

It really depend on individual. Some people took up traditional or hot yoga and they became tone quite fast thus looks good. Yoga is all about mind-body fitness. If you feel good, your body will looks good.

Don't give up. If you have already sign up a package with a yoga centre just complete it and establish an interest to the form of exercise.

I have been practising yoga at studios for quite awhile and i am currently establishing the discipline to do it at home everyday. :) However, i will still need a teacher occassionly to adjust my asanas.

i think Pure monthly membership for unlimited sessions is S$208.95. (You need to pay up 2 months when you sign up and renew it monthly. You can terminate after the 2 months which you have already paid)

hi gals... how are your yoga classes coming along at Pure yoga.

I am actually doing Hot yoga with Bikram Yoga at cityhall. Have to admit the charges are a tad high and they only have one type of classes. So I am shopping around for another alternative like Pure yoga or true yoga. But i heard so many bad comments about True yoga that I am abit scared to go there.

You gals loveeee Pure Yoga? hehe

any pros and cons of the centre?

suetan

coco> so far nothing bad abt the centre. Just that with the closure of the wisma tunnel, it gets a lil inconvinient nw.

i am also contemplating to join Yoga. been to Pure yoga like the ambience, serviced staff and clas size better. True yoga sales staff are pushy and class are big. but you dont really need the instuctor attention if you are not beginner. Coz I only wan to make use of the hot yoga rm. Wanted to join Pure Yoga. But am working at Raf so make True yoga much more convenient.

Hieveryone! I have a Pure Yoga 3 months package for transfer. Check out their website at: http://www.pure-yoga.com/en/singapore/

Practice with some of the best teachers in the region with unlimited classes for 3 months. This package can be activated anytime during 2007, but must be completed by Dec 2007.

Paid $208.95 ($199 with GST) per month = Total of $626.85. Willing to let go at $570. Location is at Ngee Ann City.

I've actually attended classes there for 2 months - very good teachers. Classes are not too crowded (even after office hours) and there are always adequate shower rooms.

Hmm.. Luckily I came to surf this forum.

Been contemplating going down to Bikram Yoga to check out the place but was reconsidering cos really expensive.

Checked TrueYoga webby but like nothing on hot yoga and they dun really publish their rates which IMO = pushy sales staff trying to convince you to sign on expensive package.

Is PureYoga really good?
I'm more interested in the 'Hot Yoga' cos i cant sweat naturally and as a result I have bad complexion cos alot of toxins in my body (or so I think).

May I know what are the rates for Pure yoga? Also are the rates fixed across the board?

I have tried the trial lessons, and always get Mahendra (great!). But I wonder if the other teachers are as good? Cannot really do hot yoga as the heat scares me

hihi.. have been practising yoga for about 2 years. Have been with kryoga at novena from the start till they have closed. Now im with yoga shala at tanjong pagar, it is a small cosy studio. Classes are small about 2-8 people and the teacher is patient and friendly. Classes have a only one month expiry so just buy the package that you are comfortable with.
Have tried Pure and True but i did not like the environment. The few classes I have been to have about 25 students? Impossible to have one teacher to supervise all especially for beginners.
